Actually, I have to thank you for that info on Carlos Alberto, since I'm a Porto fan and have great expectations for the new kid, judging from what I've read so far.

Carlos Alberto: «A ficha ainda não caiu!»
Carlos Alberto está radiante face à sua transferência para o FC Porto, onde em princípio será integrado na equipa B. Ontem, ainda em Florianópolis, o jogador disse a Record estar a concretizar um grande objectivo: defender um dos principais clubes das Europa.
"Estou a viver um sonho muito bonito. Jogar no FC Porto é uma oportunidade maravilhosa, um autêntico sonho. Estou feliz demais e quero agarrar essa chance com unhas e dentes", afirmou.
Além de assinar contrato com dos dragões, Carlos Alberto precisa, agora, de superar uma lesão nos ligamentos laterais do joelho direito, ocorrida no "derby" contra o Criciúma, dia 10 de Julho, em encontro vencido pelo Figueirense por 2-0. O jogador está em fase final de recuperação e já realiza trabalhos avançados numa academia e também exercícios na areia fofa para o fortalecimento do joelho. "Estou quase bom. Isso não será problema", garantiu Carlos Alberto.
Falando de si, o cabeça-de-área refere ser um jogador de forte marcação, mas também de boa saída para o apoio. Por isso, nos últimos compromissos do Figueirense estava a actuar um pouco mais avançado no relvado, como segundo homem do meio-campo. "Gosto muito de marcar severamente, porém, também sei jogar com a bola dominada", assegurou.
As negociações com o FC Porto decorreram rapidamente. Os primeiros contactos foram realizados na semana passada, mas o jogador achou que tudo não passava de uma sondagem ou de um boato. "Levei um susto, pois não esperava um acerto tão rápido. A ficha ainda não caiu", comentou.
Apesar de jovem, Carlos Alberto é um líder nato. Tanto que foi capitão da selecção brasileira sub-20 no Torneio de Toulon, realizado em Junho, em França. Como internacional das camadas de formação do Brasil, o trinco ainda foi campeão mundial sub-20 no final do ano passado.
Carlos Alberto viajou ontem para o Rio de Janeiro, sua cidade natal, onde permanecerá até a noite de segunda-feira, quando embarcará para a Cidade Invicta. "Quero aproveitar essa chance e jogar muito mais em Portugal do que vinha jogando no Figueirense", comentou o l atleta, que cita o avançado Carlos Alberto como sua referência no FC Porto, um jogador que admira. "Já joguei contra ele, tive de marcá-lo, e trata-se de um grande jogador", concluiu.
