Ok. So most of you have tried the demo of fifa2k3, and amongst mixed opinions it is definately better than last years.
Now we always talk about the AI, well has anyone watched the ref, and his decisions.
I noticed that last year's FIFA had poor refereeing, you would get caught offside like 5 minutes late, and sent off for fouls that you competely missed.
Well heres what happened to me in the 2003 demo.
I was RealMadrid, and henry was clear through to my goal, i took him down from the side/behind, and he fell flat,
any older FIFA would of counted to 10, blow the whistle and then send my player off.
but check this for realism,
Berkamp was near Henry, and collected the ball after he had been brought down.
The result... Berkamp left with a 1v1 with Casilias, and scores.
Im pretty certain that the ref was gona blow for a free kick and send off my defender. IMO he certainly playes the ADVANTAGE!
I know this isn't much but I thought id share it with you guys, it's easily not the most important realism, but a lot of real football games are decided on decisions like free kicks, red cards, advantage etc... and I think EA deserve at least 9/10 for the refereeing.
if you noticed something similar, or disagree please comment below!
oh, and did you notice the ref is Peir Luigi Collina? The WC final ref!
