I dont agree with you at all... I have a good PC but Im sure my friends PS2 version runs alot faster. The PC version is fine but I hate that we can only play one half.

I 'll take 2 screen for you guys, one for pes3 and one for pes4 so you can compare and see it for yourself.

I'm playing the game at 1280x1024 16x anisotropic and 8x antialiasing - high detail. I would have to say that WEi7 looks better than this strictly from a texture and quality standpoint.

I think this has to do with a couple of things. First the demo seems as though AA is disabled and the textures are compressed. Another factor is that in WEi7 I have all downloaded uniforms, balls, boots, pitch etc. The updated graphics people make are always superior to those that come with the original game.

I expect the final game to look better.. atleast I hope so. Other than that I am pleased with the new variety of animations and hope that the ball can be made a bit less bouncy somehow.

Sad to say, but if the game stays so riddiculously fast I won't be playing it. I turned v-sinc on but that doesn't slow the gameplay down, only makes my screen stutter a lot.
Btw, does PS2 version has a game speed slider or it's the same old double speed option you could unlock in Pes3?

I have both versions and pc is slower pc verion is ok at least for me

After playing another game it would appear almost certain that AA is disabled in the demo. I'm not so sure that AF is working either.

My reply in another thread in this forum:

For running the game in 60HZ mode (and thus slowing down the gameplay a bit):

- Download Qres,
- Put the Qres.exe in the same map as your PES4.exe
- Create a .bat with in it:

qres /r:60
pes4.exe
qres /r:75

- Use the .bat as your startup file for PES4 (don't use PES4.exe anymore)

Et voila, makes the game a bit slower.

BTW: I got this tip from someone else during my PES3 times, dunno anymore who it was, but credits go out to him/her.

BTW2: By ending the code with 'qres /r:75' you make sure that the HZ goes back to 75 when you exit PES4 to windows.

Hope it works for you guys.

my humble impressions after playing demo;

pros:

• 
  - better, more natural players animations, like stepovers, turns etc. or long throw ins
  - better shooting, no more skying ball like in pes3
  - better round ball, but too light
  - better looking faces, much better
  - much better commentary (but still crap comparing to fifa ones)
  - better referee, no stupid decisions and fouls
  - adventage rule much improved
  - overall AI improved, even at 1 star difficulty
  - better highlights, now with nice effects and scorers names
  - beter menus, better "quick settings" like counter attack, zone press etc in formations, not only different arrows but also positions
  - controls list now available during game, good thing for newbies

cons:

• 
  - passsing, tooooooo much outside of foot, way too much
  - throw ins, ther should be some indcator showing you where player gonna throw ball
  - stuuuuupid keeeper, known bug from PS2 versions, I scored too much goals when keeper just stands and watch the ball, huge bug, it should be a feature like handplay in pes3 but too much overdone
  - terrible manual camera angles during replays, there are: low, lowest, the lowest and bird's eye, WTF?? previously pes3 cameras had good height, good to see action, now it's crap
  - too many outside of foot shots
  - too sharp graphics, it looks like they used "sharpen" filter in Virtual Dub
  - wide camera is too low
  - overall graphics practically identical like in pes3 (I see only better faces)
  - injury time board is nice but it doesn't tell you anything, coz it's still "Stoppage time" written at main scoreboard, it showed 3 mins left and moment after end of match...

my rate about the demo - 89%

full game (PC) will be probably 90-95% for me

only downs I see so far..

1. Follow the bouncing ball

2. Your player on the ball sometimes when turning runs about 5 or 6 paces and you can't turn him. Like in that tuen to take the ball he goes into auto mode for 5 or 6 steps!


COME ... PLEASE !!! some one make a Time Extension Patch!

As I said before , this time last year when the demo for PES3 came out, we had 3 different patches for it ....

I think that it's funny that none of you guys has mentioned a VERY bad bug:

If you push "PAUSE" and you return to the game, the player passes the bal ! ARGH!!!

last year was a patch that allowed u to play with any team & any time. it is in proevolutionline.com and is called demo patcher 2 or similar. You can modify it Mayor

after alot of tweaking it now runs as it should, anistrophic helped the best.

I'm really starting to like this now, all the annoying things in previous pes3 has been fixed to 90% for me atleast. great improvement if you ask me, little details like if holding pass long enough it will go through to the next player.

First game remarks :

- the music is less irritating
- Players move more like human beings instead of animated puppets
- Maybe a little bit too fast, but after getting used to it it'll feel just fine I hope

well i agree with you...it looks like pes3 to me and the graphics are even worse, i set it to 1280*1024 full detail with AA but no the graphics, that pitch is awful...

I hope this demo is not representing the quality of the full game

I m an addict of pes3 and we7. and for me the graphics in pes looks better than it looks in fifa 2004..and better than in fifa 2005 I support konami!!. BUT, the graphics in pes4 sucks, anyway I m such a great fan of pes, that I prefer pes4 graphics intead of fifa 2005
but please konami....turn on the AA for the retail version of the game!! PLEASE.
