ok guys.it seems the patch is buggy as well. now apparently there are 2 birmingham in the premier league and no blackpool. crashes still exists. so guys those who want to play the premier league don't install this.the rest do it at ur own risk. here's what ian jarvis wrote in the EA forums regarding 2 birminghams: "Just reproduced this on my machine. Not cool and my apologies. We've got some folks looking at this now. Sucks because it was fine prior to the patch."

Huh!! Even the EA bods can't fix thier own game issues and make them worst. I do play the Premier league and I won't be using this patch, I might use the next one if they ever produce it, hopefully with no bugs and a fix for the crashes, but I'm not holding my breath..

On my system the patch does not apply, I guess that's because I had edited my database using dbm 11. Anyone got an idea what I need to restore to make it work?

the bug manager mode crash after the game was in fifa.exe, fifa_ng.db or in the grafics ???

@herbert: restore the original db i guess. extract it again from the original data 0 big file. if u haven't modded anything else then replacing the data 0 big and bh file with the originals should work.

@nicholasnufc: r u serious? u have installed the patch and there's no 2 birminghams in the manager mode? in exhibition it's fine. u have to check in the manager mode for the bug.

@erevos: i can access ea forum.it was closed temporarily for site maintenance but it is working again.check

What if someone applies Matrix database (or the old original database) after applying this patch? Will the problem of two Birminghams and missing Blackpool go away?

@arka: dunno man.haven't tried that.was wary about crashing my game.but that's a suggestion.unfortunately i can't try it as iv deleted the patch out of sheer frustration.if possible, plz check and let us kno.

btw: besides the mm bug and the crashes, the patch solves evrything else actually. i even got day matches playing in england for a few matches that i played with the patch.also the sb problem is solved.if only the mm bug and crash issue is fixed...

For me, keyboard issue solved, scoreboard issue solved, weather issue somewhat solved (so far no day matches, but no rainy matches as well - 5 played so far), even crashing dont occur to me SO FAR. Only two Birminghams and no Blackpool for me.

is the formation bug for cpu teams solved in mm with the patch? i mean the CB's playing as RB & LB, or RM & LM playing as RB & LB like Arjien Robben always in mm playing as RB.

Hmm, but originally the DB files were in the .big file, so maybe I need to just restore the old .big file?

@erevos: i only played 2-3 matches with the patch and the players were playing in their correct positions.dunno if it's due to the patch or just that i got lucky.

here's something interesting. an user in the ea forum wrote this and was seconded by another: "Guys yesterday i have downloaded the ea russia patch.

1.There is no duplicacy in birmingham coming twice in premier league anywhere nor in MM.

2.The weather system fixed no more rainy nights as it varies now mainly played in days and i am saying about manager mode.

3.I can now enter controller settings with keyboard with out any problem.

4.I think they improved the graphics and atmosphere tooo but i cant be sure about that but still i found something different.

5.Till now no crashing.

So download the russia patch it may help you try out."

if anyone is using the ea patch downloaded from the russian link can u plz confirm or deny these claims plz.

veggt, I had that, but it was because I had modified my database with dbmaster. Restoring the original .big files resolved the issue.

Re the two Birminghams, I don't have it in the EPL tournament. Haven't checked MM yet though.

no its not working, i have already tried that, and its the same patch actually... i have uninstall the patch until a fix...
