Funny thing is that we were lookin at Quaresma as Gigg's replacement before we got Ronaldo.Two quality players nonetheless but Ronaldo has really improved,leavin Quaresma behind.

Quaresma is awesome, did you see him against Arsenal? If he came to Man Utd I imagine he wouldn't be much worse than Ronaldo.

Yep he wouldn´t be much worse but it´s quite the gamble to have this kind of similiar players on the team. I tend to agree with Help?. He´s a quality player nevertheless. I´ve seen him live a couple of times at my local team stadium. When he´s on fire, he´s worth the ticket. The only thing i would be skeptic about is that if he can adapt to the Premiership physical play. It´s enough work to stick up for Ronaldo, i can only imagine all the crying (i.e ShearerM4) if Quaresma moved over there too.

What a week for United - beat Benfica, Citeh and saw Arsenal and Chelski both drop points on us, and with a dishevelled West Ham on Sunday to come.

Must admit I thought the Benfica game was going to be the old "4-5-1 screwup" and I was nearly :-puke: when they scored first! Still, the boys are winning games - and that's what we need, the awesome football is a bonus.

skysports said that if we buy hargreaves in jan he will be able to play in champs league as he didn't play any games in it, just like cashley cole thingy, though it seems huntelaar could be our next striker purchase. (silencer, i know)

Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar admits he "loves" Manchester United.

The youngster is a target for United and he told the News of the World: "I know certain English clubs are following me like Manchester United and Newcastle. They are both very interested in me.

"I love clubs with great history like Ajax. I also love United. It's a club that makes me dream, especially since Ruud van Nistelrooy has played there and did great things for them.

Ajax will not let him go that easily and he is not allowed to leave during the winter, KJH already said that he is finishing the season in Amsterdam and we need him to go for the championship and the Uefacup so SAF can forget about that, it seems that he is preparing a bid for 14.5 mil Euro but the pricetag is 25m Euro, Ajax said this in an official report.
Under 25 million Ajax is not even going to listen to any bid according to the board. On another note..if he is going to ManU after this season I wouldn't mind cause it's my 2nd fav team and he will be a great asset for United I'm sure of that. Just don't let Chelski or Arsenal get him please

Huntelaar is not going to go to United this winter for sure, simply because United won't be buying any strikers in January. The reason they got Larsson on loan is because they are not planning to buy strikers, otherwise Fergie wouldn't have rushed with Henrik's deal. So let's leave that speculation.

Owen coming in January is almost impossible as well, since he is still injuried.

Rossi, Larsson, Saha, Smith, Rooney, Solskjaer... six strikers for the second part of the season. But I'm sure SAF might play Rossi on the wings, like what Wenger is doing to Walcott. Smith might be sold, but that was an old rumor. I'm pretty sure we will see one arrival apart from Larsson.

ok can someone please tell me why we would bring in owen????why change our team to fit him in,,,he dosent fit in our team,,,,wat we need is a winger/LM and a striker,,,and top of the list i think is still torres and im sure SAF will be lookin in the winter he brought larsson in cause he could he will be gone before the end of the season,,so im expecting a new winger or a striker and no owen and hopefully he dosent come,,,sure he has played little or no football at all this year

Have you seen us play with O'Shea or Fletcher in the middle?

Signing Owen to play as replacement for Fletcher/Oshea is rubbish.
Owen will need to start, but who would you drop from our midfield?

Carrick is doing a fine job, Scholes, Giggs and Ronaldo are undroppable.
If we get Owen, chances are we'll go back to 4-5-1, which nobody wants.

jeez calm down it only is a rumour and i don't think fergie will buy him due to his injury. in the summer huntelaar or torres will be our target, though it seems huntelaar could also go to newcastle.

Getting Owen doesn't mean that SAF will be changing the formation, it is just to give Scholes or Carrick rest when needed. If one of them get injured then we don't have any decent back-up. The same as Larsson for the time being, to rest Saha or Rooney when needed

Yeah, Fergie is not blind. He can see himself when a formation is working or not, that's why we have played 14 out of 17 games with the exact same line-up. Having Owen in the team doesn't automatically mean that he HAS to play and i would rather have him, then not. We could have used him in games like City instead of O'Shea. We got lucky that time with Ronaldo scoring the goal to take off the pressure, but anything can happen and when i might happen i would rather have a good backup, then O'Shea

Saha and Rooney will be our main set of strikers for years to come. Smith is a backup and may be loaned or sold should he continue sit on a bench, yet I'm guessing he'll stick around longer to try to establish his place. Ole will be retiring soon and Larsson will only be here for 3 months, so there is definitely a place for a 4th forward, hopefully a youngster.
