Injections for a broken toe?

It may ease the pain and bruising but injections don't heal fractures . He will probably have to have it plastered and all that.

Second rate player if you ask me
It's a bit typical isn't it, SAF saying that there are going to be more signings when only Carrick has been contracted?
There is a week to go before the transferwindow closes so now Reo Coker is on the list :o
Good win against West Ham anyway, liked the way Giggsy played and scored.
Saha should've scored when he was alone in front of the goalkeeper.
But it's nice to see Arse lose and dropping points anyway still nr 1! :read:

damn watford gave us a run. anyways we won, so no complaints. thank god already 2 game suspensions have been wiped out quickly for rooney and scholes and by the next match we might have further signings, also all points have been picked up. reo-coker would be nice, i think a 7mill pound bid could lure pardew.

Reo-Coker second rate? I beg to differ, he is one of the best up and coming midfielders in the prem. Reo-Coker, Carrick, and Rooney are the future of England and having all 3 of them play together with Man-U wouldn't hurt at all.

Though I think Man-U should also make a bid for Darren Bent.

no, i think it'd be good for bents development if he stays at charlton for another 2 seasons...and i just saw the highlights. sloppy defending imo

EDIT: yes ARSENAL lost!

I hope the Reo-Coker story is true, I think he'd be a great addition to the midfield - apparently there's some kind of release clause in his contract that allows him to go if one of the "big three" come in for him. Namely Us, Arsenal and Chelsea. Wenger is eying him up as well, but I think Chelsea won't because they must have enough central midfielders now.

Typical United leaving it all to the last minute again.

it says "BIG" three, not TOP three. Big three are usually regarded as United Chelsea and Arsenal. Though these days it's usually the top 4 including Liverpool.

I'm quite sure he can't just leave for free. That would be ridiculous, and if that had been the case, he'd have left long time ago.

There will be a set release amount in there, probably around £10M.

Did you read the Marcos Senna article on SkySports today? Apparently he blames AIG for United switching targets and is upset the move fell through. He suggests that AIG preferred United to buy English players in the summer where possible, hence the switch to Hargreaves as the primary target. Of course Reo-Coker is english so AIG will support that move.

Also according to one of the papers yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo has said he is "United through and through" and after the Charlton game he thanked the United fans for standing by him.

Yeah there was a big article in The Mirror about him, they quote him saying that he has United in his heart. It also says that he has said that when opposing fans boo him he likes to silence them with his amazing skill (H)

Any news on the defenders injuries? Gaz, Vidic, Rio and Gabby all injured?

iirc Gabby is set back soon so it'll probably be a backline of:

Brown-Gabby-Silvestre-Evra

Unproven playing together like that but i'd think they'd cope until Rio, Vidic and Gaz are back.

Gaz is still suffering with his WC injury (calf) He might be back after the international break (unless England call him up) Rio has a suspected broken toe (they said "toe - not "metatarsal") so he'll be out a couple of weeks.

Nemanja will probably have to have his wrist set, so he'll be in plaster for a few weeks (he might be able to play with a cast on his arm though, Cantona did)

Gabby's is tricky. The knee injury he suffered meant he couldn't properly excercise his legs and the Quadriceps Femoris (the largest muscle in the human body, and the same one Triple H tore WWE fans) has suffered a bit of wastage and has to be built up, it can't be rushed or overloaded as Gabby may completely tear the quad off the bone (as Triple H did - and he missed 9 months of activity). As soon as the quad is healed then Gabby will be good as new.
