Great win by Liverpool, i would have dreaded another result like the portsmouth match, but this time we held on. I listened to the commentry, should Riise been awarded a penalty late on?
As for the Aimar link, theres a **** load of websites about it so it must be a credible rumour in some sort of sense.

Damn, with every match Gerrard plays better.
He has to be one of the world's hardest working players.
A few times today, he went on runs where defenders were flying onto him, but he would just push them off and keep going. The guy never gives up.
And yeah, I don't know how Niemi got away with that horrible foul in the penalty box after the splendid Gerrard ball. It should have been a red card.
I see why the Anfield Faithful love Gerrard so much.

About Aimar ...
I think he would be a great fit at Liverpool.
With your strikers(Baros, Cisse, & possibly Morientes), I think Pablo would excell.
A midfield with Aimar, Alonso, and Gerrard would probably be one of the best midfields in Europe.
With what I read Aimar said, it looks like he is on his way out of Liverpool.
It would be sad for me for him to leave to LFC because I have always wanted him at the Bernabeu and also with Pablo coming in, Gerrard would most likely stay.

Pablito is the definition of playmaker. He is a very quick player with amazing vision of the field. I am not sure if he would adapt to the Italian game because he is rather small. He is an amazing passer so I don't think that less space would affect him that much. He is a very good dribbler and his shot doesn't have the power of an Adriano but he is a very nice finisher.
The biggest problem with Pablo is that he is injury-prone. The last two seasons especially. Like someone else said, I think injuries are the only reason he hasn't joined Real Madrid.
Aimar just turned 25 years old and his nickname is El Payaso (The clown).
I believe that the world will see Aimar's brilliance in the 2006 World Cup when he carries Argentina to their third World Cup. I think we need strengthening in our defense. What about Robert Huth? Does anyone here rate him? Would be a great long-term replacement for Hyypia i reckon. Would Chelsea let him go?

I've always felt unsure about Morieintes(sp?) joining, I mean, can't u see him in a Newcastle shirt?
Does Benitez really have only 5mil? I thought he'd have got more, especially since we reached the last 16?
Aimar? to Liverpool? Fat chance. Seriously, even if he wants to come, Ranieri is loony, but he'd never give him to us for the remainiants(sp) of our 5mil after our striker has been signed.
Although... though this sounds crazy, i'm pretty happy with Pongolle and Mellor at the moment. I mean, if we had Pablo Aimar, he'd improve the team so much. We could even play him as a supporting striker, he's class, we'd have such an immense midfield. Plus Gerrard can't play every game, the lad's gonna get tired. Speaking of Gerrard, how likely would it be 4 him 2 stay if we signed Pablo?
Been pleased with our performances against 'castle and bromwich, how we've needed a total thrashing of a team AWAY, hopefully west brom can avoid relegation
