This guy still thinks that coaching is like it was in the 60's, 70's & 80's where shouting at the players for a little extra, gets you results without any tactical awareness, much like it is in the lower leagues now.

To me he is like a poor mans, Sam Allerdyce :jambo:

Newcastle had their worst season in ages under him , he seems to fall out with players easily as well , I think hes totally out of his depth at Newcastle ,he belongs in the lower leagues.

I HATE HIME, i never liked him at blackburn cus i thought he was arrogant t*** , and then the day newcastle announced who manager was i didnt know and my dad , told me to oquess by saying who do i least expect and the who i least want, and there you have it yes it was graeme souness. and he falls out with all flair players, if bellamy goes b4 souness i will be p***** off thats 4 sure !

Descent coach but comes off as too much of a brut to be coaching at top level teams. Freddy Shepard's judgement was flawed when he thought the Newcaslte team needed a warrior coach to bring the players in line. They need a tactitian and a good man manager to handle egos.

But I think Souness' record speaks for itself. Mediocre at best. He'd be better off at a wee team, like Rangers,

To be fair to Souness he adopted a squad which needed a lot of changes. Those changes are happening now. Next season will be very testing for him. Expectations are massive on Tyneside, anything less than European qualification is not accepable.
