I really rate Juan. I cant remember the last time i have seen Roque Junior play well. He was terrible at Leeds and is always clumsy and getting booked for Brazil. Why is he still gettin picked? I hate it how players get picked just because they play for a big club.

I'd recall Adair out of retirement and chuck him in ahead of Roque Junior :crazyboy:

Brazil have never been noted for outstanding defence (well in comparison to their attack) but the top notch ones they do have are class except for Roque Junior. So why not pick the best ones? lol

They should pick Bordon, one of the best defenders in german league and reliable, plays very solid and does not try any tricks.

yeah I think Brazil is a bit overrated but then again saying Kaka is not a good player is a bit too much.. also saying Brazil is average is calling most of the rest of the world as total crap...
Losses to Argentina and Mexico are not exactly a proof that Brazil is bad since the loss to the Argies was at Monumental de Nunez, and in the game against mexico the problem seems to be we were too narrow, which doesn't happen when we play without the "magic square" as the brazilian press likes to call our 4 attacking players (this is a competition in which we can test players and formations, playing against decent opposition and Parreira is doing just that... it seems we won't be using it at the World Cup) The game against the greeks proved the formation can be used to crack tight defenses but we need the flanks when playing against more talented teams (we beat Paraguay and Greece, and lost to Mexico and Argentina)
Rating a team (and players) based on 2 performances isn't wise... Robinho does awesome for Santos week in and week out, so 2 average games don't make him mediocre, Adriano had a wonderful Copa America and that doesn't make him the best striker in the world, but then again a bad Confed cup doesn't make him worthless...

Yeah this is merely an experimental formation for the Brazilians...nothing else...doubt much can be read into the loss to Mexico. I can' t understand where some a yu are comming from saying Brazil is in the past. Once their regulars are back they are deadly. And so what if they don' t give it their all in non-WC games...nobody really cares how many times Brazil lost to some of these Mickey-Mouse teams they lose to now and then...but, EVERYONE knows how many times Brazil won the World Cup. That' s just it, the WC means more than anything else on the national scene in the days when club commitments are getting more and more daunting.

And as far as saying Adriano is an average player,,,,,I' ll bet any of you would love to have him play at your club. (C)

well done Mexico......good game .Why cant people just admit that the days of great Brazilian sides have gone? The team is packed with some very average players who perform quite well in their respective leagues, but put them outside their leagues and they stink.Kaka....what is all the fuss about this guy?...same with Adriano, one shooting foot, his left ,his right is only good for standing on,that is not a world class striker.Robhino is still young but thats not an excuse any more for being mediocre. The defence is absolute crap, and how does a talentless guy like Roque Jnr make the squad let alone get the captains armband? You might want to find excuses for losing against Mexico, and Argentina and all the other dreadful performances during the WC qualifiers, but the truth is that the team is full of some very average players.Just because they were born in Brazil does not make them great. Why is it blasphemy to admit the truth.I remember the fantastic Brazilian sides that would steamroller over any team in the world,a team full of talent ,dazzling skills and great goals. This team is nothing like that, its a shame but there it is.Apart from Ronaldinho and maybe Ronaldo,i wouldn't be in a hurry to see any of the others at my club. Its not enough to say that Brazil always struggle in games that do not matter but they play well when it does matter.Every national game is important.Pride is at stake.Brazilian sides in the past gave 100% every single time they took the field but not any more.Every game mattered. The talent is not coming through like it used to.Its sad because the world used to watch Brazil to see how the game should be played. Not any more.Maybe the fact that the players are spread all over Europe is a factor, whereas in the past, all the players all played in Brazil.Maybe the European style of football takes something away from them, and makes them more like the rest of our National teams. All i can say is ,they no longer impress me.Individually or as a team.Sorry, thats just how i feel. The myth is no longer a reality.

And you have lampard and terry on your sig...... :nape: I thought the English were smarter than this

It's always a good sign when pede talks sh*t about your team, this means he actually fears it, ;)

About the German team, Schweinsteiger and Podolski will be rested, Friedrich is suspended. :(

Hey guys respect his opinion, but seriously what are u smokin :p jk Pede. But saying they are average together is a bit harsh. Hey Vince did the argentina-Germany match start? give me a update on how the game turns out i'am at work right now :(. Kaka is inconsistent thats his problem, Robinho is getting cocky every season but his talent is big. Adriano is still recovering from that injury. AND ROQUE JUNIOR IS STILL UTTER SH!T :ewan:

I would rather play Brasil than Mexico. Firstly it is a good test as you have to beat any team if you want to win the Cup next year, then it would be nice to beat Argentina today and last but not least because Mexico is more difficult to play for Germany than Brasil.

Lineups posted for Germany-Argentina
Interesting how Germany are using their 5th captain
The rankings are like this
Ballack
Kahn
Woerns
Friedrich
and now Schneider

QYC

Reserve Team
Shweinsteiger is playing, but Ballack isn't. So Schneider is the most senior player in the starting lineup and will probably get the captain's armband.

Germany with one of their youngest teams ever, especially in defense. Hinkel 23, Huth 20, Mertesacker 20, Hitlsperger 23.
