QYC said:I wonder how Wolfsburg will do this season. They were great in the first half last year, but just totally collapsed. Also Dortmund and Hamburg are on the rise. Hopefully they can get in Europe. And if Bayern and maintain the form of the last few weeks, we should have no trouble defending the title. But that is a big if.
Ailton hints at exit
Schalke striker Ailton admits that he is considering quitting the club in order to move to Greek giants Olympiakos.
The 31-year-old joined Schalke on a free transfer last summer after helping Werder Bremen to win the German double, but despite scoring 14 goals this season, has failed to settle at his new club.
Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick is unhappy about Ailton's inability to provide defensive cover when needed and managing director Rudi Assauer has recently hinted that he is ready to sell the pacey forward, who is tied to the Arena AufSchalke until 2006.
''That would be a very interesting option. I am a bit tired about German football and this would be a new challenge as the club has not only a big tradition, but also a player like Rivaldo,'' Ailton told Kicker.
''They had been interested in me while I was in Bremen and I would have joined them back then, but Bremen didn’t want me to leave.
''Now I have to fully focus on the end of the season as we have two very important games and then I will think about my future. I do have a contract here, but spending a second year with Schalke will only make sense if both sides are happy with it.''
With an exit seemingly on the cards, Ailton has left his current employers in no doubt that he will not be warming the bench next season.
''I will have to start thinking about my future if the club are planning to sign a striker,'' he told Bild.
''One thing is for sure - I am not going to stay here to sit on the bench.''
Schalke have been strongly linked with a move for Chelsea hit-man Mikael Forssell - a target for both Blackburn and Birmingham.

Sky Sports said:Huth snubs Schalke offer
Chelsea defender Robert Huth has rejected an offer from Schalke to return to Germany.
The powerful centre half was wanted by the Bundesliga runners-up but he has shunned the approach as he is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Huth had already turned down the chance to join Bayern Munich and has now given Schalke similarly short shrift.
The 20-year-old Germany international remains hopeful he can become a first-team regular in Jose Mourinho’s collection of stars.
Schalke were willing to test Chelsea’s resolve to keep Huth, and the stopper's desire to stay with the Premiership champions, but returned home empty-handed.
“We were in talks but the player doesn’t want to leave England and Chelsea don’t want to sell him,” said Schalke’s team manager Andreas Muller after admitting defeat in the race for the former Union Berlin youngster.
Schalke are desperate to search the market for a new central defender as they are keen to strengthen the squad for their upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign and, after failing to land prime target Huth, the Royal-Blues could now be ready to turn their attention to Celtic’s unsettled defender Bobo Balde.
The 29-year-old has recently revealed that he is able to leave Parkhead on a free transfer this summer and seems to have a free pick of clubs, with Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen also keen on his services.
Sky Sports said:Rosicky in Borussia vow
Tomas Rosicky insists he will not just walk away from Borussia Dortmund.
However, the Czech international - nicknamed Mozart in his homeland - has been constantly linked with a move away from the financially stricken German giants in recent months.
The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Real Madrid have all been credited with an interest, but Rosicky himself still does not know what the future holds.
When asked whether he would leave, he said: "I don't know, that's hard to say.
"My agent [Pavel] Paska discusses some offers, we have talked with Dortmund on which terms they will let me go. But I don't want to run away from Dortmund."
He also admitted that he would like a change of scene from the Westfalen Stadion - where he has now been for four years.
"Yes, I would like to [change]," he told MF Dnes.
"I feel I need a change. But I don't want to leave at any price. Dortmund had a bad first part of the season, but there were also some good months, we were second in the spring table, we can go on the top places because we are a perspective team.
"You have to be easy on [transfer] talk, but at first a club must pay for me and it must be a club to which I would like to go to.
"If there is an interesting offer for me and for the club, they will not prevent me from leaving. There are still two possibilities: either I will stay or I will leave."
