ShearerM4, its ppl like u that make ur club as useless as it is.

If I were the coach of newcastle, crap like Dyer and Bellamy will be out.

How can a player be this defiant and even went as far as insulting his coach on TV be allowed to stay.

And u wonder why u are languishing in 12th and Chelsea is Number 1. look at what Mourinho did to Mutu.

Compare what is comparable...
its easy to throw out a player like Mutu, who's struggling to score, has a seven month ban over his head... and when you have 4 other strikers.
Bellamy has been Newcastle's best player and most devoted servant over the last two years.

The whole story is that hes been taken for a ride by the management. And with two big egos like him and Souness it will be hard to get along all the time. This should have been delt with privately.
Some might argue that letting Bellamy stay would be admitting player power... but both sides can come to terns with this whole situation im sure.

Bellamy's just one of countless overpaid players who think they're above the law. At the end of the day Souness is the manager, if he puts Bellamy on the wing then so be it, even if we the fans don't like it. This would never of happened 20-30 years ago. Players showed a great deal more respect for their managers. Would Clough and the like have stood for this behaviour from their players? No the player would get a thick ear.

Bellamy's a great player and has been committed to the club 100% up until now but however good a player is there comes a line which cannot be crossed.

Now i hope Bellamy learns from his mistake and gets his head down to do what he does best, his football. Hopefully in the black and white shirt.

Ok time to resurrect this thread.

Busy beginning of the week with plenty of transfer activity.

O'Brien has completed a £2 million move to Pompey this morning: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/4079810.stm
O'Brien's been a good servant to the club, good signing for Pompey.

Robert about to sign for Bolton subject to a medical: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/4085674.stm
Glad to see the back of him, shame we've made such a loss out of him. If anyone will get the best out of him big Sam will.

As for players coming in it's believed Chelsea have agreed a fee for Scot Parker however there are fears that Parker may be off loaded to Spurs as some form of reconciliation for the Arneson row. We don’t want to be missing out on Parker, just what we need in the mid-field, a tough ball winning, eye for the goal mid-fielder.

We are gettin rid of so many players wen are we gona get good replacements in? and for the prices we are throwin away like bellamy and robert for like a combined 7 mil, how we gona replace quality like that with tht money.

Fernandez

Team Captain
I'd expect Newcastle to bounce back right away. If you guys can get a decent driven midfielder and another centreback, I'm sure you guys will do well.

are we playing for the draw? cos if we only buy a cb and cm, then we dont have a left winger... or a striker... cos big al can only do so much, and ive neva been a fan of ameobi... then who's next? chopra? well... he has potential... bout time he showed it perhaps...

Magpies linked with Emre bid
I think he'd b a good signing... and 4 mil is a fair deal...

Also read we r linked with out of contract Aussie captain Craig Moore... hes a solid player... and played with boumsong at rangers... when hes played for australia hes been good i spose... but im not sure if hes really ne beta than sum1 like taylor... who i'd much rather see have 1st team exposure and improve into a hero... him and jab will b partners in good time surely... unless we sign some1 really good..

ps, probly should update my sig ey...

Don't worry about a lack of signings thus far. The transfer market has started quite slowly like it usually does. Players are coming back off holiday soon and we have until the end of August to buy players.

Players we're strongly linked with:
Parker (discussing personal terms, Chelsea accepted a bid)
Emre (Bargain for £4 million)
Daniel Van Buyten (quality center half, good replacement for O'Brien)

I think we'll see a couple of new forwards brought in too. In the mean time i would give Chopra a run out in the intertoto, the lad is a great prospect for the future. We could with a left-winger too, not quite sure who though.

isnt emre our left midfield answer? cos her certainly aint gonna start in the middle is he? since i'd assume it'd b jenas and parker, with dyer at right mid... emre on the left? doesnt soound so bad...

robert is in talks with both bolton and pompey, f365 say parker should b a newy player within 24 hours, and also bowyer is in talks with Brum... he should leave imo...

as for van buyten... i dont see it happening, considering newy denied eva speaking to him, and the deal looks dead in the water... but as for an OB replacement, considering OB is no more than a bench player, he wouldnt really replace him, we just need to find a partner for JAB, cos Taylor will b able to do the backing up the two of them, and i spose if they r injured/suspended bramble could play... that'd b a decent set of 4 cb's... but yes, we will need to sign a new striker...

I don't watch Italian football but i thought Emre played right? I don't know.

i heard oliveira is thinkin of leaving real betis, if so i think we should throw loadsa money his way this kid is pretty damn good.I doubt he'd leave betis for us though?

Oliveira Won’t Rule Out Betis Exit

He is a hot talent, and a very good player... but i dont think a move to newcastle would suit his career advancements.. he's probly best staying at betis, or at least in spain till he gets a lil older, and then making a bigger move...

ne ways, robert has joined pompey...

as for emre, id say im about 85% sure hes a left sided midfielder, who can play at LCM or LM.... but i could b wrong, so i wont say ne more... :ewan:

Parker is a Magpie

SCOTT Parker has completed his move from Chelsea to Newcastle United after successfully completing a medical on Tyneside on Wednesday.

Parker, who joined Chelsea from Charlton 18 months ago, becomes Graeme Souness' first signing of the summer and admits he can't wait to kick-start his career at Gallowgate after a frustrating time at Stamford Bridge.

"I'm delighted to be joining Newcastle," Parker told nufc.co.uk.

"As soon as Chelsea made it clear they were prepared to let me leave, I was keen on this move.

"I have played here a few times, and I know how big the club is. I was very impressed with the manager, he was a major factor behind my decision to come here.

"I was also impressed with the chairman, and I just get the right vibes about the whole place. I can't wait to get started now."

He added: "It has been frustrating for me at Chelsea. I was a key figure at Charlton and playing every week, and then all of a sudden at Chelsea I wasn't a regular and had to get used to being on the sidelines.

"But that has made me a stronger person, and I don't leave Chelsea believing that I've failed. I have learned a lot there and developed as a player, and I'm confident you will see that at Newcastle next season.

"I'm not content with just sitting on the bench and playing a bit part. It was hard for me last season when Chelsea were doing so well and I wasn't really part of it

"I want to play, I have a hunger and a desire and maybe that is even stronger now because of what happened to me at Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea is a club where trophies are part of the make-up. I have a desire to win things, and I feel that at Newcastle I can do that.

"The manager has given me a huge lift, I feel wanted again and I know I can do a good job here at Newcastle United."

Chairman Freddy Shepherd was delighted to tie up the signing of Parker, and says he will be a valuable addition to the squad.

"Scott has been our main target for a while, and we're delighted that he has chosen to join us," said Mr Shepherd.

"He is our first signing of the summer, and will be a valuable addition to our squad. He is still young but has a lot of experience, and we welcome him to Newcastle and look forward to seeing him in a black and white shirt."

What defenders have been shortlisted for the Toon?

I would like to see Anton Ferdinand play for a bigger club. He's linked with Pool at the moment. Either way he is class.
