The 'need' to use 4-3-3...

after going through a number of leagues, mine included, ive found that the side on top with +30 or whatever goal difference, are all using 4-3-3... which makes it harder for me to win, and others, making the game actually not fun? and pointless really, if the only way we can win is to use the 4-3-3 back at those already using it. i know this thread is similar to the others... but .. are we going to just sit and wait for the new season, and disregard trying to win this one until the sim comes out? i have a headache...

I have noticed the same thing, but I don't think all 4-3-3 alignments are using the "cheat tactic". The 4-3-3 tactic that gets everybody so upset is just one style of the 4-3-3 set up but there are other legit styles.

thats very weird coz thats exactly wat i use ... i find it a great

tactic to use because u just have to expect the unexpected with your team!

jdub, yes the alignment with the pushed up defence, im not saying every 4-3-3, i dont expect teams to be playing with 6 defenders ect.....
sebastian, you will find you will win as there isnt a tactic to counter it, i dont want to use it, but finding myself having to just so i compete and have a chance in league and friendly leagues.

You have my complete sympathies and understanding Mutt but there is no way round it. Im all argued out now. Can't be @rsed with the 'cheats' any longer. Guess we'll just have to wait

do we use it aswel now....?? im using a pushed up 4-4-2 .... used it against a much higher ranked team using 4-3-3 and beat him... but im still exploiting the off side defence thing.. .. i dont know what to dooooooo...

I use a 2-4-4 formation, dont think my defence is pushed up particularly high and somehow I'm top of the English Div 1.1! (I managed a lucky 1-0 over the Edinburgh Knights...)

stop winging mutt you use it sometimes to win so who cares now it is being fixed up and if people want to use it for the time being then they can and will keep winning but who cares now!!!

i only use it if my opponent is using it.... caus its the only way i dont get blown away 6-0...

how do you know your opponent is using it? You look at his last game?

Well, now you will play someone like you, who will look at your last game and see that you also use it and therefore use it against you, but you use your normal tactic and then call him a cheat.

Its never as simple as you make out.

as of last nights games, i have and will use my own tactic, and i dont really care if i get beaten 10-0 as im not paying to play in my friendly leagues ect... lol.. my tactic last night ended losing 6-0 and next game lost 7-2.... hmmm

mutt i agree it is annoying but you just have to hope people won't use it for now and they will be honest but some will and if they have and beat u convincingly then its not a real win is it because they no it is a cheat tactic.

I'm using 4-3-3, but not THE 4-3-3. The sim thinks it's a 3-4-3 actually. But it's a great tactic and i'm not going to change it, i think.

just used a non-4-3-3 formation against aveiro (hugo-viana) and he used 4-3-3, I won 5-0
