That's ****. Melo and LeBron went into identical situations and Melo's team was better. He led them to the playoffs in the West! I mean, Denver lost just as many games as Cleveland last year. The stats are about identical (taking into consideration that they play different positions), so I think something like leadership and success should be counted. Melo deserved the ROY.

As much as I love Melo it has to be Dawayne Wade. Look at the Heat's roster. How they finshed with an above .500 record is amazing. Wade has been great and has not got the attention that either Lebron or Carmelo have.

Hint: Lamar Odom, Rafer Alston.

Are you kidding me. Odom is a borderline player and Alston is a journyman. Cleveland and Denver both had better rosters than the Heat.

The Heat have decent players, don't forget Eddy Jones and Brian Grant. They were pretty good players a few years ago, just sort of dissappeared the last few seasons. Also, Alston and Wade play well together, so it's really not that amazing about them winning it was just that they actually tried this season with a new coach.

I agree with an article I read on espn.com, it made a very good point. What if LeBron played for Denver and Melo played for Cleveland would those teams be the same, Denver would but Cleveland wouldn't (not as good of a record), and another thing LeBron had a lot of pressure on him to perform like a potential All-Star because he had so much freakin hype on him.

It's not Wade, Wade has been injured for much of the season, his stats don't match up to Melo or Bron, and Lamar Odom was a bigger addition to the Heat this year than anyone. He went from being an oft injured headcase in LA, to a healthy good player who can go for 20-10-10 any game. He's not the same Odom this year and that's why the Heat are better this year more than anything. Riley quitting might have had something to do with it too; Riley being the biggest dip**** in the history of basketball.

Do not insult Patrick Riley. He is a great coach who for one reason or another keep letting John Starks shoot no matter how bad of night Starks was having.

Also the shot Wade hit in game 1 was clutch. I don't remember James or Anthony hitting any game winners and James isn't even in the playoffs to shoot the ball.

Melo hit a buzzer beater to tie a game and keep his team in the playoffs; and he hit the shot before that posession too. He hit the biggest shot of Denver's season and sent his team to the playoffs with the shot at the end of the game.

True.

I think Earl Boykins is the 6th man of the year. He has meant so much to Denver as well. I mean he has won or kept them in alot of games this season. He does not get nearly enough credit.

Great to see Wade in the top 3 rookies of the year list especially when he was in my fantasy winning team :D

Anywayz the new Bobcats team should create an interesting season next year, especially now that every team can play on the same day instead of 1 team being left out.

Though I need some clarification on their picking from other teams. How many teams can they pick from??

I have decided that after watching the Jordan Capital City Classic game that no high school player should ever go to the pros again. I mean I wouldn't let some of these guys on my Hoop It Up team much less an NBA team. The only one who looked good was Howard. Other than that they all need to go to school.

Nah the only thing keeping me awake through the Porto vs. Derpotivo game was the fact the Around the Horn and PTI were on next. If it wasn't for that I would still be asleep.
