hey guys....dont know bout you but this movie is one of the biggest movies of all time and George played it small by avoiding a hype machine (like Phantom Menace and Reloaded did)

I know this series is Universal (like 90% of ppl either like it or love it <or REALLY love it).......what are your fave moments from Star Wars (all movies)? (moments that got to you personally)

My fave Star WArs scene of all time is the Asteroid chase with the Falcon in Empire Strikes back.

Just so awesome.....Ford and Fisher <sp?> had awesome chemistry and the scene totally rocked (the score was fantastic)

Also the Darth Maul vs. Jedis in Ep 1 totally blew me off my ******* chair (was the Matrix 1 all in a 10 minute fight)

- Episode 2 had the Kamino scenes which rank on top as best Star Wars moments ever. The whole secret plot that Obi Wan stumbles on .....just great. Plus Obi vs. Jango was good too.

any opinions?

"I am your father......." Now thats a classic. You cant call it a scene but it definitely has to be the best line (H)

me and my brother have been quoting this scene since we were kids:

(Luke and Obi-Wan anter bar)

LUKE: "Excuse me."
MAN-THING: "He doesn't like you."
LUKE: "Sorry."
MAN-THNIG: "I don't like you... We're wanted men. I have the death sentence on twelve
systems."
LUKE: "I'll be more careful..."
MAN-THING: "You'll be dead!!"
*Obi-Wan cuts thing in two*

For me, the best bit of the entire trilogy is the beginning of ROTJ, right from the start of it til when they kill Jabba. Jabba is my fav SW character ever, and I think that whole scene in his palace and then at the Sarlac pit is absolutely magnificant.

Shortly after that would be the whole scene in Cloud City - I thought that was a really cool set, Lando was awesome and it even has the "Luke, I am your father" moment if I remember correctly.

Thirdly, Yoda fighting with a lightsabre. Been wanting to see that ever since I very first saw the little guy.

yeah the whole opening 45 minutes to ROTJ are fantastic, the bit where he appears after Leia frees Han and you can just hear him laughing is pure genious.

Yup, definately, and the all the other robots and aliens that are present in those scenes are awesome also. Just a shame the rest of the film didnt live up to that, the lightsabre battle was cool, but having a second Death-Star seemed kind of a cop out and wtf was with the Ewoks?

Despite that, it was still an excellent Star Wars film, though not as good as the original and nowhere near The Empire Strikes Back which is a masterpiece.

IV - lots of amateurish charm, great because of the originality and some great moments and characters.
V - superb, magnificantly directed, most interesting storyline and consistently brilliant from start to finish.
VI - inconsistent with great moments punctuated by boredom and annoying bits, but some brilliant scenes and a very good overall ending to the sage
I - not even a good film, let along Star Wars film, medicocre throughout, over-reliant on special effects and with some sh*t characters (Jar Jar, Anakin) and sets (underwater city) but still some very good moments and additions.
II - decent enough but nothing on the originals, interesting storyline and makes maximum use of Ewan McGregor. Awesome performance by Christopher Lee.
III - ??????????????????????? will fill in tommorow :D

My favourite would be the duel between Darth Maul, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon.

I also like a scene in EpIII but i won't say which one yet so as not to spoil it for anybody.

I have only seen it on the TV commercial, but it still gives me chills down my spine

The Emperor: "Lord Vader"
Vader: "Yes, Master..?"
The Emperor: "Rise..."

when he says "rise" with that awesome voice, GOD DAMN.

and the scene from Ep. I when Darth Maul shows him self for ObiWan and Qui-Gon and he lights uå his dubble lightsaber....

forza Dark side!

So many so i have a few here:

Darth Vader: Luke i'm your father
Luke: NOOOOOOO!!! That can't be, that's impossible

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obi Wan: If you strike me down i will become more powerful than you can ever imanage

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke: I'll give it a try
Yoda: No, Try or try not, do or do not... There is no try

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darth Vader: Don't be over confident general. The ability to destroy a plant is insignificant next to the power of the Force

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Almost every characther: May the Force be with you

I like the bit where the female janitor walks into the room and suddenly her panties slip off just as the female owner of the penthouse is about to ta....ah, wait. Wrong movie, sorry.

Yoda fighting was great, jumping like a monkey on crack. One thing that gives me the chills is when the Imperial March plays, i just love that song, especially when Vader shows up and there are tons of Stormtroopers in line waiting for him.

I also cant forget when Luke blows the Death Star in A new Hope with the 2 missiles hitting the reactor.
