I don't know exactly why but I like Southampton as a football club. Glad to see them back after this many years.

I'd like to think that's the case for many people. Maybe apart from those in Portsmouth. Certainly very pleased for them!

wow, big congrats!! Soton was a fixture in the Prem that I grew up with, and it'll be good to see them back in the top flight ...

Hahaha, yeah me too. That poor club was always bankrupt on CM :(

:) Didn't know Saints were so popular! I wonder what the ideal 20 team Premiership would be? I'd like to think Southampton would be in it for most people and that seems to be the case, which is cool. I think we should be in the Premier League. Hopefully we stay up. We can fill our 32k stadium and we will average over 26 thousand. Should be about 11th on the attendance charts. Will be interesting to see how much money we spend!

Remember the last game we had in the Premiership. It was against Man United and we lost. It was so long ago that Ryan Giggs was still playing, although he was past his best by then! He must have retired a year or two later though, I guess. I haven't really followed the Premership for a while.

Sorry to break it to you, but that old bastard is still playing.

This guy and Beattie were reason enough to look for So'ton each week.

Not knowing that Ryan Giggs still plays football is equivalent to not knowing how babies are produced.

So if City beats United, then our hopes will rest on Newcastle (thumped by Wigan 4-0) and QPR (crashed by Chelsea 6-1), yup monday will truly decide the title...

Feeling ambivalent about Chelsea right now. Whilst I hope Bayern crushes you (even if you finish 4th :D), you better demolish the racists two weeks before!

Torres hat trick please.

Oh hai thar.

It would be awesome if both teams lost their remaining two games to have City win by goal difference. (H)

Or 0-0 draws with United wasting so many chances :innocent_smile_1:

So I was typing out on facebook about how the standard in the Premier League has gone down in the context of why this game wasn't so great to watch. And the cause is pretty obviously Liverpool and Manchester United, with Spurs and Chelsea to an extent, preferring English players over much better foreign signings. After a decade of excellence on the backs of foreign stars, England has retreated into an inexplicable xenophobia; at least at the top.

Which made me think... what kind of odds do you think one can get on Arsenal to win the title next season? Podolski arriving, Wilshere returning, Sagna returning, and presumably there will be another important signing, and on paper that team seems better than anyone except City. Arsenal have a better manager too.

4 costly mistakes from Fergie:

1. 4-4-3 don't work for us. We don't have the players for it
2. Play Giggs, who has been bad for a while, for the FULL 90 minutes. WTF?
3. Play Park who has not played for 3 ******* months
4. Bench Valencia who is the player on fire

Anyway, there is still hope. If we win the next 2 games 10-0 each, the title could be ours.
