First it was Beckham getting stick, then the fans BOO Crouch and now its Franks turn.

How the fu<k anyone who calls himself an England fan can abuse our players is beyond me altogether.

People find excuses for Gerrard being shi.t like, "he's just doing what Mclaren tells him" etc. etc. but when it comes down to Lampard, because he is a Chelsea player I presume, he is not allowed any excuses. Most of the England squad are playing badly of late, so how you can pick one out over the rest amazes me.

This all started from when Sven stopped giving a damn, followed by McClaren taking over. It is the system that is being used that is wrong not the quality of the players.

Mass hysteria stirred up by the media once again and the idiots fall for it time and time again.

Why not moan because a below average player like Brown actually makes it into the squad? Why not cay something about how bad Robinson has been? OH yeah neither of them play for Chelsea of course. Muppets.

If a manager cannot get the best from perhaps two of the best midfield players in the World, then the manager must be crap.

Gerrard isnt being sh*t though... Lampard is, and has continuously been so for over a year. And it has nothign to with him being Chelsea, it has a lot to do with him simply not performing out there time and time and time again. Others have been far from great, but fact is Lampard simply takes the cake!

Credit where credit is due, and also criticism when it is due. Every time McClaren keeps playing them together in the centre he is just slapping every fan in the face.

It's just going to be more of the same tonight, England will win scoring one or two, Lampard will be useless and the game will be horrendously boring.

Gerrard is playing crap and thats a fact. Defensively, in the game against Brazil he did OK but thats it. He has never in recent times been his usual self. The same can be said for mostof the team.

I'm a fan of England but I dont feel like I've been slapped in the face. Media hysteria is what this all boils down to and you will never convince me that an anti Chelsea or anti Lampard aganda is not behind this.

It's just going to be more of the same tonight, England will win scoring one or two, Lampard will be useless and the game will be horrendously boring.

Then that will be down to McClaren. A very poor coach who has not got a clue what to do with top class players.

One of the reasons (not the only one) why Gerrard has been below his Liverpoolesque par is because he is having to play with the footballing equivalent of a ball and chain.

Ball and chain? That was what the SUN said. Shame on you:mexican:

In that respect you could say that Gerrard is having the same effect on Lampard's game. It's complete rubbish mate. The tactics and formation is Englands problem and that is down to McClaren.

Crouch scores the whole time when on the pitch for Liverpool and England, I don't understand why he isn't guaranteed to start. Sure, if he stops scoring and somebody else scores more, play them, but right now he should be in the first 11 of both sides for sure. Especially as he also creates goals and problems for defenders. The only thing he hasn't got is pace, so play Owen with him. Problem solved. Maybe Rooney could play behind both of them. Crouch rules.

Help?

Not until we see a better back-up to Terry-Ferdinand, than Brown ;)

You have to admit though, that Wes has been unbelievable in the past 2 month and yesterday's performance showed that.

Yes we did :)

We've played teams of the level of Estonia recently and played like crap. This game was a huge step up in terms of possession, ballplay and teamwork. The first half was better than the second half by a long way, simply because by then we were already 3-0 up,a and the second half saw some subs on and a change of formation and tactics, designed to simply keep a clean sheet.

Great to see SWP score an inspiring goal to get things moving. Rooney scored the second, and lets hope that marked the end of his international goal famine. The 3rd was an own goal, a fantastic header from an Estonian defender from the edge of the area, that any striker would have been proud of, but you need to score in the opponants goal of course. :)

I thought the 2 Coles were great on the left, and Micah and SWP were excellent down the right. Gareth Barry was impressive. The defence was tight as a drum until Ashley got carried off but all in all did fine. Terry was missing of course but Sol did a fine job in his place. All in all though the defence had an easy time.

Russia next.

On "Astro Turf"?

That should be fun too. :)

Russia should be a pesky challenge to say the least for you guys. It was a good performance yesterday but it is still a lot to be done. England is still that underachieving talented side. I personally expect a lot more from them.

Can't disagree old mate.

The important thing for me was to see the confidence that has been missing for a long time. Some very positive and entertaining football in the first half, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it.

Yeah there's a long way to go for sure, but it's heartening to see the players gell at last, and with Owen back, who played a great game actually, his movement was sharp all the game and was very unlucky not to have scored.

I was unfortunate enough to be seated near the morons who booed Lampard on to the pitch. Mainly gooners led by those Potters Bar dipsticks, with a few Mancs thrown in.

Why these imbeciles carry their club rivalry to international games is beyond me altogether. Then again you only have to see the people involved to see that they are thick and beyond help.

Disgraceful TBH. I used to rant and rave when these same idiots did it to the Man U players when playing for England, and I will still be disgusted how any England fan can boo one of our own players.
