Take it you didn't see Gerrard against Greece. He was one of England's best players. I know it's only Greece, but Gerrard was long overdue a performance for England. He tends to be invisible.

i still think it is a waste of talent playing gerrard on the right mac should just decide who to play lampard or gerrard.

Why is that then? Gerrard has been given a free-role. He may begin on the right but he has the license to drift anyhwere on the pitch to be involved. That is the best way to get the most out of Gerrard and Lampard while keeping balance to the mid-field.

It is also a role Gerrard has played numerous times for Liverpool as well, if i might add.

When Gerrard is on the right we have perfect balance and he is gives you more than Beckham or any othodox winger. It's a win-win situation as you get the best out of England's two best mid-fielders.

I think Sven tried something like this and it was hugely dissapointing because Lamps and Steve cant work other like that.

and rightly so. I have so much respect for the lad and the way he's playing after all the stick he's been getting over the last 2-3 years.
