Posted this in the support forum but maybe this thread is more suited for my question:


Ive been changing the stats with creation master on most players in fifa to make it the way i like it, and so far everything seems to work.

However, I noticed this with some players;

In the pic you can se Panucci who should now be 84, but for some reason is reduced to 78.

Its like when you put a player in another position and the stats go down, but panucci is a RB so there should'nt be any drop in stats!


Does anyone know why this happens?

The same problem occurs with Almunia, Doni, Adebayor & Hleb and Im sure there are more but these are the ones i have found so far!

any ideas?

AsmodaiPlay, it's weird because it only happens to some player and only in normal gameplay...

if you play manager mode everything is normal...

would be nice to find a fix for this!

A solution if not the best is to delete the players that dont work and create new ones to replace the "broken" ones instead (importing the faces etc.)

but there should be some kind of solution...

It's the Potential rating, if its less than the Actual rating then the Reduced Potential rating will be shown

The players attributes aren't worse off though when you play as them surely?

Have no idea, but even as just a reduced number that should still be fixed

So Panucci is still a 84, but only shows as a 78?

i dont really care what stat is shown as long as the player stats are improved.

Go on fifa and write down a couple of Panucci's attributes and then see if they are the same as in cm08 or just increase his potential to 84

No they would be the same, its just the number that it shows on the pitch that's wrong.

If you put Panucci as a substitute it will show as a rating 84.

i just fixed panucci's potential to 86 and everything works fine now

Yes! because like i said before the potential is/was lower than the actual rating.

how can i change the weather, i play in a career with boca juniors in argentinean league, and almost 90 percent of the games i usually play with rain how can i change that. ?

I just wanted to ask a small question: will CM08 be made compatible for the UEFA EURO 2008 game?

Honestly I don't like the EA policy to release every year two games that are likely the same. Anyway I will evaluate, after the release of Euro 2008, if the effort to adapt CM08 to Euro 2008 is not too big.

I don't know how to control weather but there is a small trick, simply enable the "Has Retractable Roof" for a stadium and it will never rain there.

Rinaldo will it be possible to edit the lettering and change it and put your own font for at least 1 font for every team? i know all teams use 1 font and 1 font file and what not but would it be possible to edit the lettering file or w/e it is that the lettering uses.

and be abel to at least use 1 custom made font for all the teams? cause if so that would be awsome.

Crash in tournament and manager mode

I am looking for a little help.

Added some leagues using CM08 (I previously made cmp files for Greek leagues, Romanian Div I and II, Hungarian league I, 3rd Bundesliga and Regionalliga cmp.

When I try to play in manager mode or tournament mode Fifa 08 crashes. The games are fine in exhibition mode.
I am using Fifa bigfat.exe (08) so the fifa.fat file size is not a problem.

Has anyone else had this problem?
