I was a bit disapointed with IBD, it was a bit too mainstream and ''radio friendly'' as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I don't really listen much to IBD, it's mostly Brushfire and On and On that's in my stereo.
I hope this whole JJ hype moves on so he can return back to his roots. Having said that, good luck on the guy he defenitely deserves recognition finally, it's just that I hate 16 year old screaming girls at concerts shouting ''Carlos, I love you''...oh well :)

On a related note. I went to see The Beautiful Girls play in Amsterdam on monday evening and boy were the good!
They ripped it, big time. Nice to see one of my fav bands live finally.
After I spoke to Clay (bass) for a bit and he told me they'd be back in about 2-3 months time so defenitely can't wait for that. Also got a setlist and signed by him :p

He is the new Bob Dylan, listen to his lyrics, they're some of the best around. It doesn't come through on In Between Dreams but listen to Brushfire Fairytales and On and On and you'll know what I mean. The guy is a lyrical genius.

I 'member when I heard him for the first time in my local radio station, 91X (91.1) here in San Diego. They gave him the first chance. (Y)

Isn't he doing a tribute CD to Sublime??? (C)

Yeah, he is. Well, the tribute CD is a collection of Sublime covers from all sorts of different artists who each cover one song. Carlos Johnson covers Badfish/Boss DJ medley
