The CL money is mostly based on TV shares, which works on a national basis. So England has XX amount of money from TV revenue and some extra junk to spread between all the teams that participated. That money is split based on CL performance, so the further you go, the more you get, but if your domestic competitors do well, too, you will not get as much as you would if they went out in the group stages. Italy was due lots of money and their representatives sucked balls, so their mediocre representative and Juventus got more money even though they did worse than their rivals from other countries.

The country gets less money because there are now, at least, 6 less matches' worth of TV money to split, which is a lot. But, I assume the shitty 4th country gets some of the cash, although I assume it is appropriately reduced. So, the quantity split between the 4 is less, but the share of that the other 3 get is greater so they might still get more money. I assume a place like Swiss Ramble has some sort of study on this subject.

Jesus, I assume a lot of stuff, I should learn some new connectors.

Xifio how do you feel about this...?

A.C. Milan was founded as Milan Cricket and Foot-Ball Club on 16 December 1899 by English expatriates Alfred Edwards and Herbert Kilpin, who came from the English city of Nottingham. In honour of its English origins, the club has retained the English spelling of the city's name, as opposed to the Italian spelling Milano which it was forced to bear under the fascist regime.

love it!

Genoa still has Cricket in its name, and I never hesitate to point it out:
