The best moment of my life

I just saw Muse, it was the best gig, ever.

I didn't think it could get better when Matt finished on Bliss, and it faded to black, before i realised there was one more song still to come.

Then came the dark orange lights, and the quiet sound of horses trotting in the background. Knights of Cydonia guys, Knights of Cydonia.

That, right there, was the best moment of my life so far.

Even better than Istanbul 2005, and that takes some doing.

Sheffield gig right? I think they played Hoodoo right before KoC.

Went to see them at Campo Pequeno, 1 month ago. One of the best moments of my life...they are in the moment the best band in world LIVE. No doubt about that. I remember 3 songs that everyone went mental. TIRO, Stockholm and the final one...

yeah, Knights of Cydonia, before it starts, Matt started playing a nasty riff from Queen...I want to break free...sounded like a cavalcade...and then the WOAH WOAH WOAH...it just blows everything live!

And I was surprised how good Supermassive was live...

I hope they come back fast.

P.S: And I bought a tour t-shirt. Great stuff.

Nice to hear that Tom.
I saw their performance on the MTV European awards and even though them and Keane were two of the few actual European bands who performed, they were ace.
The light thing which they did their when they played Starlight was just awesome.

I was watching them play Knights of Cydonia on Jools Holland at school and it was pretty good.

Where was the gig anyways and was it in a stadium, festival, arena, small gig, etc?

Big gig, Sheffield Hallam Arena.

only been to club gigs before so a big arena was quite a difference. Main thing is the actual "stage display". The lighting was unreal, and as you said, the lighting during Stralight (and Invicible) was amazing.

Yeah i think it was Hoodoo actually Johnny, not one of my favourites but everyone loved it.

Yeah Supermassive Black Hole was ace live, MUCH different to the album version like. Plug-in Baby, Hysteria and Knights of Cydonia were definitely the biggest 'floor-fillers' if you like. With Newborn not far behind.

Like i say though, for anyone who knows the song, when i remembered they still hadnt played Knights, and i knew they either started or finished on it, it was amazing.

Just that opening five seconds after matt was pissing around on the guitar and you hear the horses lol, the crowd just erupted. My back still hurts (H)

I saw them just three weeks ago! But to be honest I was a tad disappointed. Although they are without doubt my favourite band, they just tend to do their stuff and leave. Of course they're great at what they do, and Bellamy has heaps of talent, but I was left wanting more.

See we were discussing this before (me and my mate) and we thought that some bands should talk, and when they dont, it looks bad.

But some bands dont need to talk, and when they do, it looks bad.

I think Muse fall into the category that they dont REALLY need to talk too much to the crowd, i just think it suits them better. Though i can see where you're coming from.

They don´t need to talk. Their talents just fills the arena. And they have Bellamy. :-paul:

But when they talk, something special comes up. I remember in the gig Matt yelling in Portuguese: "The next song is Starlight". "A próxima musica chama-se Starlight". F*cking ace.

only thing i can remember him saying was; "this one's for the lighters and mobile phones" before playing Soldier's Poem.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Muse, but I know there's not alot better than seeing a band you really like live and them totally living up to your expectation. I had a similar experience when I went to see the BJM for the first time, totally randomly got front row seats and the gig went on and on, just incredible. And Anton Newcombe used my lighter. It was just awesome.
