Edgar Davids has told Barcelona he will stay with them only if they make him the club's highest paid player. The Juventus midfielder's loan spell ends in June and he is in talks over a permanent move. "My priority is to sign with Barcelona," said the Dutch international. A few things to note about that, IF IT IS TRUE.
That quote makes it look as if he "wanted to be the highest earner", instead of his asking for £2m .
The question is, if Davids is worth that money.
I think he is, and if you look at it that way, then it doesn't matter if he's the top earner or not.
Also, as much as Ronaldinho has done, a fact cannot be escaped that their winning run seems to be co-incidentally tied to DAVIDS joining the team.
I don't think that's a coincidence, because Ronaldinho does absolutely nothing in defence, so clearly they found a magical balance when Davids began playing.

I don't know about that quote, because Davids gave Juventus 100% and probably expected to be compensated.

He didn't give Juve 100% for the last 2 years. The real truth was never told. Some say that Davids wanted to finish his contract with Juve and join Roma. Moggi wasn't too happy about that and when he wanted to sell him(other team that Roma) he always refused the transfer in order to go for free at the end of his contract.
I'm happy that he's doing well at Barca but don't expect him to stay.

1. Riijkard shuffle (everyone in the bench can come out and replace who ever starts). The team is very well balance. Injuries have been a non-factor.
2. Ronaldinho is way better than when the season started.
3. Can score on us if we have the ball. With the incorporation of Davids we have more ball control.
4. This is Barca normal ways what else did you expect.?

Barça has also changed the system. Now it’s playing a 4-3-3, with Luís Garcia on the right and Ronaldinho playing on the left but with freedom to do whatever he wants.
In the midfield Cocu plays as DM. That’s solves some defensive problems we had. Davids in the midfield lets xavi and Ronaldinho to concentrate in attacking.

It's very disappointing. Perhaps if Saviola wouldn't have been so stupid in Glasgow we would have scored a goal. Or Kluivert with his injury of "2 weeks". When they are necessary they always fail.

It was a good game even with a 0-0 scoreline, unluckily for Barcelona they lost away and didn't manage to score atleast 1 away goal which could have helped given them a boost in this game..
Though Celtic played a smart defensive game and they managed to draw the game and go through, good for them
