i just see it that we have such depth on either side of totti we have del piero, fiore, miccoli, di vaio, i dont see trap including a 5th option on the outside

fiore said it himself he would rather play in the CM then on the wing, but personally, i find camor a bit more consistent than miccoli, and di vaio is a forward, not a rm, from what i see trap normally do, his lineups will be similar to the following:

Gilardino's performance over the weekend was simply amazing, how could he not include Gilardino? he has had a great season.

I'm be very surprised if he doesn't make the squad, but at the moment they are just rumours.

Thanks Shokz, and although Gilardino has had such a great year, it's tough to judge how he would do in such an important tournament, but cassano on the other hand, the U-21 coah hates him, and a player with his skill and class(when he actually plays) can't be left out, whether or not cassano is a starter, he should be picked for Euro, gilardino, I say WC06, he'll be there

no doubt Trap will take Cassano to EURO, but he won't be starting as long as Vieri/Del Piero/Totti are all fit.

let's hope DP, Totti, and Vieri are all fit, but if DP doesn't find his form(which hopefully he does),then Cassano will see quite a bit of playing time

when will Italy announce their team

Gilardino had more goals than any other Italian striker this season, which is great when you see all the strikers/forwards Italy has.
So Gilardino must be on the team

I'd like to win a EURO tournament on the bench insted of a medal with a u21 squad even if I start with the latter.

EURO as more prestige than soccer in th Olympics IMO. The best players are at the EURO.

don't get me wrong, i'd love to see him there too, he does deserve it, so does baggio, but trap said they aren't coming, but if gilagol doesn't make the euro squad, he will light up WC06 in 2 years time

the more and more i look into who italy should take to euro, the more i see how much of a fool il trap is
after WC2002 i thought he had no idea, but everytime he makes a stupid comment to the media about who he takes, the more i seem to hate him

if were u to choose the attackers on performances in the league this season it would be
totti, gilardino, vieri and baggio
then u'd put DP coz he has been good in NT he is part the no1 attacking setup
di viao should not go, pippo should not go

i have a feeling il trap is going to coach us out of another major tournament

and the best RM that unfortunately we cannot use is zambrotta, he is so effective on the wing, beats defenders swings in crosses, but unfortunately he wont because he must hold down LB

and yeah Gilardino deserves to go and he will probably sit on the bench but the experience will be good for him

what if trap tried to use the 4-3-2-1 that milan used during their scudetto winning season
