Baptista did lack confidence at one point, i remeber seeing him score an own goal and he was just distraught as if nothing was going right for him. But his record speaks for itself what is it 50 goals in 2 seasons. IMo he will provide the power down the centre that we need to break open teams like Manureterd. And hopefully make us great without Henry

He's not as wrong as you think... Yes it would be better if he didn't have a slump. But remember Henry went 8 games without scoring dring february, that's a slump yet we all know his class so there was never a worry of him scoring. Same applies kinda with Baptista.

Almunia yes. Lehmann, no.

Lehmann surprisingly is a good goalkeeper, hell a very good goalkeeper on his day. F.A. Cup final he was epic. He is however, insane.

Anyway, with Fabiano now signed for Sevilla, hopefully this'll speed up Baptista signing for us.

Yea, Lehmann is excellent on his day.

He did go 47 unbeaten matches (1. Taylor, 2. Seaman, 3-49. Lehmann)

Baptista is going such a hassle to sign. I say we leave him and sure up the defence and GK position. Then we should think of signing him IMO. Going forward has never really been too much of a problem, it was always grinding out results in Europe.
