Last thing arsenal and epl for that matter needs is gattusso. Gattusso is biggest disgrace in football. He is the king of diving and injury faking. Anyway, where do you guys he thinks he slots into our lineup, if at all?
With the form Van Persie is in I don't think there's any way he could play where he played for Russia, as a second striker. Maybe he could partner Van Persie considering the poor form of Ade, but I personally wouldn't like that. So by process of elimination I hope he plays on the flank in our traditional 4-4-2. Nasri on the left and Arshavin on the right. Pretty much my only worry is that he might lack pace and strength the way Shevchenko did when he came to the Prem. That's not to say that in the Euros he looked at all slow, its just that sometimes players look totally different in England as we've all seen.
It's a shame he can't play in the Champions League this year because I think he would fit in best in a 4-5-1 formation the way Hleb did. Hleb wasn't a traditional winger who runs at defenders and whips in crosses, and I don't think Arshavin is either, but if Arshavin can produce the same terrific close control and passing Hleb gave us, I'll be more than delighted.
