Cameron Cloke is a spastic. No way will he make it as an AFL player. He was the second ****test brother named Cameron in the AFL, but then Cameron Croad quit.
Now, Hawthorn. There's a rabble for you to all poke fun at. Absolutely gutted with their performances, the rest of the season should be fun in a sadistic sort of way. I reckon if you stick with your team through the tought times the good times will be even sweeter. Luckily, though, I'm not gunna be in Australia through August (or September either - but I don't need to worry about that!) so I won't have to go and be disappointed every week. Next game in Melbourne is in 3 weeks time, Freo and Sydney next 2 weeks
We will be slaughtered. I haven't even seen a Box Hill win yet.

Hawthorn was tipped by many to finish top 4 and they were even tipped to have a crack at the flag, but the complacent bunch of little weiners have let down their fans and themselves, especially Danny Jacobs. Hank Bulgers got more of a future then Shane Crawford and why the hell did they take Croad back? They DID get rid of him for a reason....Or was it just a mistake?
Let me preface this by saying I tipped us to finish 9th again. I never said we'd win the flag, nor even make the finals, I always thought our list was suspect.
Complacency has not come into it - at least not on the field. Our main problem has been recruiting, or the policy of "topping up" with players who are older but will helps us win a flag. Players drafted like Croft, Cox, Hunter and Beaumont, who are good players in their own right, but should never have come to Hawthorn.
Our coach is a nice guy, but not up to it. Our KPP are old, falling to bits, or vastly overrated (have been saying that about Thompson for ages). Our midfield lacks pace, and no one bar Everitt, Graham, McCabe, Croad and Ball seem to be having a red hot dip.
Only because Crawf has been playing injured all season, he's not right. He'd be the only other candidate for having a real crack, but what can you do when you're buggered? He comes out and tries to lead the team as best he can under trying circumstances.
We got Croad back because he is a decent player. He does lack some footy smarts, but I was glad to have him back because he ALWAYS lays it on the line for the jumper. The only bloke prepared to back himself and break the lines running, too. Yes, you moron, we did get rid of Croad for a reason - to pick up the No 1 draft pick. Just quietly, here's how it breaks down over the two trades:
HAWTHORN GETS:
Luke Hodge (Pick 1, 2001 Draft)
Trent Croad (Traded back, 2003 Draft)
Sam Mitchell (Pick 35ish, 2001 Draft)
FREO GETS:
Luke McPharlin (Traded, 2001 Draft period)
Ryley Dunn (Pick 10, 2003 Draft)
And I'd cop a future captain, Rising Star winner, and exciting tall for a good backman and an unproven youngster any old day of the week. This is one area in the past 5 years where I think Hawthorn recruited superbly well.

OK then, settle down...I wasnt directing my comment at you. We're all friends here in the Footy thread which I created....so chill...you prooved your point mate.
Fair cop..just a bit defensive about my Hawks these days, I love em to bits. Add that to the fact that I haven't missed a game in Melbourne, and only missed 2 Box Hill games (including Box Hill reserves, this adds up to like 12 games of footy) and seen only 1 win (vs. Melbourne in Round 1), I'm a bit pissed off. Sorry cobber.

Yeah I'll give you that one....Hes definitely over exposed on TV and him commentating at collingwood games is an absolute joke. He is a let down to channel 9's football coverage.

channel 7 are going to make a big push to get the footy back at the end of the current contract which i think is this year
but im not sure who they can deal with,coz there is no other channels to join
i think in a perfect world it should be between 7, 10 and FoxFooty
u need 2 free2air channels, because a station on its own is not going to give a huge chunk out of w/e TV to footy

YAY Collingwood comes from behind to win by 3 points! Tarrant kicked 5 and Wakelin and Clement played like they did last year, reading every ball that came into the backline and rebounding it like a bouncy ball hitting a wall. 1/1 tips for me
