This is true, but if the top English clubs dont have managers who are willing to spend on English talent, there will end up being nowhere for these players to go. Other European sides are unfortunately still not into buying English players - a shame, really, because some of them could be successful abroad I am sure.

If the best clubs in the EPL don't want to buy English talent, how can the FA/fans expect success at international level? If they're not the best in their league how can they contend to be the best national team in Europe/the World?

USA will be confident after this win, it's the reverse for Portugal, they can beat this Portugal... But it will be hard to beat Germany. Anyway anything can happen during a World Cup!

Yeah that's some odd scheduling. I'm torn on whether I should bother watching it or not as I have a couple of Russians in my squad, but it just seems like an unappealing game...


I'll probably just take my time to get home and watch the second half.
