He's got to match Robben's success over the next decade. If you want to get into talent at any one time, I still think he's near the top 10, but you'll have to introduce guys like Bale right now or Best in like that one season where he was actually good.

I submit that Arjen Robben is one of the five best wingers of all time and behind only Garincha, Ronaldinho, and C.Ronaldo.

Wouldn't hurt him if he passed the ball a bit more.

The problem with Spain was their defense, they were playing to the limit with the offside strategy. They should have played more in the back after the first goal by Van Persie.

So the last comment is the Dutch vs the Spanish? Australia vs Chile was a much better game

5-1 beating was quite possibly the most amazing game I've witnessed in the World Cup so far.

Definitely the pick-me-up I needed after the two goals disallowed bullshit from the prior game.

The refs were adamant about stealing 3 pts. from us. FACK. THAT. SHIT.

The look on Xavi's face when the goals started piling up and the game took a turn towards humiliation. DAMN. All the credit to the Dutch, they brought it...oh, did they ever bring it. (H)

Timmy had a shirt-pull claim for a pen not given. But Bresc missed a glorious chance; he could have hit it across goal; not the near post, where there's less net-space. And I don't get everyone praising Leckie. He'd dribble and rush past the defence (which is great), but he just got caught up at the edge of the box.

We gave the Chileans a hell of a game, we just couldn't finish off our own opportunities. Who knows what will happen in the next two games.

On the strength of today alone and the potential of this result to unify the team, Netherlands now have to be considered serious World Cup challengers.

Russia owned the Czech Republic two years ago in their opener and crashed out in the group stage. But given the stakes of the match; I think the Netherlands have got first place now in Group B, which means they'll avoid Brazil. So then, that'll be a homecoming for Diego Costa.
