Every other sport gets one, why not Lacrosse?? Its better than Hockey and Gridiron, comes dead even with soccer and basketball. all u non-believers need to watch it, u will love it!!

oh well i will probly be the only one posting in this thread, even though its really popular in Canada and the "eastside" of the U.S
In Australia it isnt very popular, everyone is to caught up in cricket and footy. but i never got into them, i've been playin lacrosse since i was in grade 6, so thats about 6 years, if i wasnt so fat, i'd try out for the Australian U19 side this year wen the season re-starts. but i doubt i will.

anybody else play or even watch lacrosse??

I watch it... been to a few Toronto Rock games, went to the semi-finals last season against the Colorado Mammoth (I think that was their names)... 4 championships in 5 years (H)

I play it. I was suppose to have a game tonight but the weather was so bad they had to cancel it. I've been to like 5 Knighthawks games I they are the best games to go to. (Better than hockey, soccer, football, basketball hands down) I'm lucky to live in Rochester where there is a professional indoor and outdoor Lacrosse teams. we have John Grant on the Knighthwaks(NLL) who is the ultimate. We have the the 2 Powell brothers in the Rattlers(MLL) and then the other Powell playing at Syracuse which is an hour away.

game cancelled due to weather??? was there lightning or something, coz thats the only thing we stop for..... not that we get anything worse than hail. 2 bad there is not a pro comp in Aus. It is occasionally on the Australian ESPN (mix of ESPN and ESPN 2) but it is never advertised, so u just have to get lucky. But i do have NCAA semi finals on tape, a couple MLL games, and Wings Vs someone from like 98 playoffs, i think its 98, i used to have a couple of the MLL exhibition games on tape, u know, from when they were first introducing the league, it was basically an all-star game, but one of my coaches stole it. I also used to have one of the Toronto Rock's championship games from around about 99-2000 cant remember exactly which year, but it was their 1st championship i think.

It was am indoor game but the weather was so bad with up to 50 mph winds and snow the news told us to only travel if necessary so the place closed early. One lady died when she was driving and a tree fell on her car yesterday.

I cant wait for the NLL season to start but I hate how there's 6 west teams and only 4 east teams. They need some more east teams.

and ya, yesterday we had some really strong winds in Toronto as well... went outside to go to school in the morning and almost got blown away :o probably weren't as strong as 50km/h, but really strong

The east teams will dominate especially rochester and toronto, but is lacrosse even popular in Arizona. If #1Stunna sees this thread give us an answer.

It's basically the same as here, they created a Melbourne Rugby team, but nobody in melbourne cares all that much for rugby.

has anybody played that NLL game that was released like 2 or 3 yrs ago???

Wasn't the game called Blast Lacrosse or something. I saw it at EB once but it didn't look that good. Soemone said it was like NFL blitz were it's made for hitting.

yeah it was like a lacrosse version of that, it was meant 2 b pretty fun even though the graphics were terrible

I've seen a couple MLL games on ESPN2 (Including the final, that was the same day as the WUSA finals. I was plopped on the couch the whole day :crazyboy: ), and I'd like to see more. But between Soccer, Rugby, Ice Hockey and a bit of basketball, (Oh yeah, and school :rolleyes: ) I can't ever seem to find time.
