taking on players......

hi, is anyone else having a problem taking on players, I mean properly taking them on, not just going round them, only to be caught up and then either pass the ball or lose it?

I'm playing it on semi pro level, and i dont think I've once actually properly gone round a player and been in the clear, and i'm at the end of my first season....

any ideas?

same prob here mate:( , i really want to go past someplayer with a skill/trick, not run around and eventually get tackled.

Just sprint!

I'm rubbish at FIFA and I managed to get my right back to sprint all the way to the opposition box unchallenged to get a shot in.

i have the same problem i did it once only for the player i took it round to catch me up again and tackle me.
neone hav any hints?

yo ppl....its difficult..but heres how u do it (ps2 gamer here)...
press R2 to start walking/trotting.....then move the right analog stick (moving it in diff directions makes u do diff tricks) in any direction...combine movements like UP and then RIGHT to do tricks like crossoveres 360 spins etc...........it needs ALOT of practise....but i cna do it sometimes.....yaa..i know..its a ****ty thing that u have to slow down at a the pace of a snail to do these tricks....but thats how it is..gota cope with it...
i feel that they tried to copy the NBA LIVE series...cus in that.....thats how the freestyle controller is used.......(mocing it in diff directions to o diff tricks)....but the main thing in tricks is to WALK (R2).....enjoy ;)

to be honest i think it was partly because I'd only really played with cardiff, played with real and was taking players on much more..cheers anyway

i haven't seen it happen, maybe u can, but dont think its an intentional move, i think if it happens then its just by chance, but i dont think the game is set up in a way for that to happen
