yea it's r1 and r2 together, plus directional buttons. Basically, if your player is making a run in a certain direction, and you super cancel, he will go in the given direction. it's pretty hard to use, so here's an example.

say you forward is standing a few yards off from a defender. your midfielder makes a through pass to the right side of the defender. usually, in PES 4, your forward runs straight, as if the def wasn't there, so the defender takes the ball and clears it easily. instead, you super cancel to the right a second before the defender gets it, so your forward "intercepts" the ball. If you're lucky, the defender will try to tackle and f*ck up.

i suck at explaining, i hope hat helps. you can also use it when your def doesn't follow your controls while containing an opponent or something (happens rarely)

http://www.celeborn.co.uk/mido.avi for an example. Mido is running towards the ball, I held R1 + R2 down and directed him away from the ball and around the defender... defender is fooled as he thinks my player will collect the ball, goes through his legs, I let go of R1 + R2, Mido heads back towards the ball

I use it all the time, even for simple things like defending; you can force 1 player to go behind the back line to act as a sweeper to help stop through balls; or when the balls in the air to help get a player in better position to header it (you can jostle an opponent out of the way)
