Tonight I'm proud to, finally, present you my next work, after spending days, weeks or even months on details for this stadium (sometimes I hate my pefectionism
).
As you might know, it's the "Sukru Saracoglu Stadium", home of the Turkish top team Fenerbahce Istanbul.
The stadium is currently being reconstructed, three stands are already done, at the moment the construction of the fourth stand is deferred to undefined time (among others because of the Iraq war). The current capacity of the stadium is 52000, after the finalization of the fourth stand it will be 60000. With its steep stands, close to the fiel, its structure is rather unusual for stadiums from that region. With the fanatic Fenerbahce fans, every match becomes a unique experience !
The FIFA stadium is conformed to the final version of the (original) stadium, where all four stands are completed.
The number of polygons ( = rectangular "parts" which, alltogether, build up the stadium) is the highest ever used for a FIFA stadium - the stadium itself has got 24596 polygons - together with the crowd polygons the number is even some thosands of polygons higher !
For this stadium, I also spend a large amount of time at the night version of the stadium to give you the possibility to play evening / night games with the stadium, too ! I hope you like it (even if we still can't change the positions of the floodlights)

AND : Even if Fenerbahce isn't included to FIFA 2004, I didn't build the stadium without reason ...
