I would like to share such stuff in this thread. Everything concerning the actual situation on the pitch/all that's going on that's in our hands and out of our hands.
I wondered when exectly is most useful to use the stepover trick, and how & when does the player header/volley the ball-does it just depend on the height of the ball? How to make shorter the long ball, pressing L1+O - the ball always seems to go too far, all the way to the keeper! Heigh through balls - does the lenght of the pass depend on intensity/speed of pressing or ...?
I still don't use the IGM - what's the best way to use it?

L1 + O is an auto cross, it will automatically hoof it to the centre of the box, which is why it always goes to the goalie - it's very useful for knocking it back in after a corner has been cleared.

I find long passes to be a relatively inexact science:

A has the ball (o) - and you go to hit a pass forward, it's pot luck whether it goes to player B (who's free) or player C, who's marked. Even dirtecting it with the analogue control isn't that good.
