Having watched most of the matches I can honestly say that the quality is the worst I have seen in the opening group stage, and the English teams are among the worst of the lot.

I really need to sign up, because that lad could not have had many lessons and he already looks like Greg Louganis.

im getting a little annoyed at the poor performances man u are putting in this season, alex doesnt seem to have a clue what team to put out, and they are so inconsistent that we don't have a hope of winning a thing unless things get sorted out pretty quickly. Maybe he shouldnt play 4 full backs at once (Neville, Neville, Silvestre and O' Shea) and perhaps playing four wingers at once (Giggs, Ronaldo, Fortune, Fletcher) isn't such a hot plan either.. but then who needs a balanced team when you have ruud van MISStelrooy and diego POORMAN to score the goals, and Rio the £30 million monkey to stop the opponents from scoring.

although i respect what Ferguson has done, i think it's time for someone else to take the reigns. I can't accept that Ferguson will destroy man utd just because of a stupid grudge. He totally f**ked our defense by selling Stam, just because of a grudge, and now he's sold our best midfielder again for a grudge. I also remember Andrei Kanchelskis (best right winger in europe at the time) being sold, yet again because Alex didn't like him. What happens if Ruud gets on his bad side, or Giggs, or Scholes? Will he get rid of them as quickly?

can we stip the diving thing already... you say we dive ...you're right... we say pires dive we're right... this will lead to other players accused of diving and is a form of flaming.... the referee was slightly generous... full marks to howard for saving the penalty but he was too weak at corners..... the defence is getting ripped apart...next thing you know, we concede our first goals at OT... fergie have to axe ferdinand, what a dreadful tackle and o'shea...who is not making runs... ronaldo i think is better if given a free role and fletcher should start..... arsenal fans may taunt us, but we were against a leader in the bundesliga...but no excuses.... diego forlan might be the hero last dying moments, but he was the villain...
