True, but he can still play when he has a faster CB next to him. You've got plenty of options, David Luiz, Cahill or even Ivanovic. Terry with his experience can guide his partner pretty well i think.

But yeah it's time for others to step up. You guys need a proper goal scorer and Mourinho needs to rotate a little bit more. Mata should play every game, leaving him on the bench is just stupid. The guy was miraculous for you last season. If you don't need Mata we'd gladly take him! : D

We really dont need him there. We needed him to retire gracefully (or move to the MLS) two years ago and to have done proper scouting of defensive prospects in Europe so we might have been first to Vertonghen or Nastasic and now have a solid, reliable centre-back pairing.

Well Tottenham signed him summer of 2012 which is exactly when Terry should have moved on and a replacement signed.

Luiz gets slack because his mistakes are very noticeable, which is exactly why they are easier to correct than, say, Cahill's, who does all the flashy stuff well but fails in the simple stuff that's actually important.
