Lukaku is good at space? havent seen much of him nor payed attention to him but i thought he was a pivot CF. I've read Mourinho praising his ability to play with the back to the goal and surrounded by defenders.

He can bully defenders in that manner, but his touch, intelligence and technique aren't quite there and the reason we want Rooney is precisely because we lack someone whose movement can unlock and confuse a packed defense. Lukaku is at his best on the counter, keeping defenders at bay and running at the backline like a tank. He has all the tools to become a very complete striker, but he isn't tthere yet.

It's true and he'll be loaned out, probably to some EPL team. Transfer fee is apparently €4M.

If that's true I am very happy, gives Lukaku one more year to develop and us a better title shot. However I havent really seen any of Eto'o for the last two years and 32 is pretty old - are we sure this is not another (cheaper) Shevchenko?
