Simone Inzaghi has been unveiled as a Sampdoria player following his move from Lazio.

"I’m very enthusiastic to be here," the striker announced after a swap deal with Fabio Bazzani was completed.

"I’ve already met a number of my new colleagues, having played with Stefano Sacchetti at Piacenza. The rest I know by fame or I’ve met as an opponent.

"I had some great years in the capital, with a lot of give and take, but I am giving my all for the Sampdoria fans now."

Inzaghi enthused about playing in the Luigi Ferraris stadium, which he described as "one of the most beautiful grounds in Italy."

However, the nature of this transfer is purely temporary, as both players are only on a six-month loan deal.

"There is no clause with regards to buying out the contract at the end of the season," revealed Sampdoria director general Beppe Marotta.

"In July both players will return to their original clubs and we want to keep hold of Bazzani."

I'm hearing that Lotito is looking to clean house. Even so I don't think that Inter will sign Cesar since his price tag is ridiculous for a player his age. (I heard 10 million or so...)
