Squads1 File Missing?

tl;dr: Trying to fix a problem after using CM16 (missing player names). Been advised to delete squads1. Problem: My squads1 file isn't where it should be to delete manually, and I don't seem to be able to reset my squads in-game, either by choosing "Delete" on the "Squads1 appears to be damaged..." prompt, or by resetting all squads in Customise. Help?

Long version:

Basically, my Squads1 file appears to be missing. Every time I launch FIFA 16, I get the standard "Squads1 appears to be damaged..." warning, but choosing Delete or Cancel makes no difference. I've tried to go in and delete the file manually in Windows, but it's not where it should be (Users/Documents/FIFA 16/) - indeed, I've done a search of my whole computer, and it only finds the Squads file from FIFA 12 (which is exactly where it should be). I simply don't appear to have a physical Squads file for FIFA 16.

It's clearly doing something with some file somewhere, because certain changes I make in CM16 aren't registered (although the vast majority are - there are a few isolated cases of changes to e.g. shirt names, number fonts etc. randomly not "taking" when I save) and are seemingly being overridden by some settings file somewhere. But I can't actually find it to delete it in order to (presumably) force the regeneration CM16 wants?

Options, tips, solutions? All advice gratefully received.

I wouldn't have to be if you weren't posting this question in every thread.

I understand your want to get back to your game but you need to be patient.

It is one of the number/letter combination named files, remove 1 at a time until it works.

Will do. I was a bit confused because in the equivalent FIFA 12 folder, there is a readily-identifiable file with "squads" in the name.

And, mate, I understand it's frustrating trying to moderate in a place like this when every other post is someone demanding something for nothing, often something that is obvious from a quick search, or criticising something they got for free (really, I do understand - I'm a prosecution lawyer, I deal with over-entitled dickheads all day long - plus we're Londoners, so it's pretty easy for rudeness to escalate into a fun game called "OH JESUS WHAT'S ALL THIS FUCKIN' BLOOD COMING OUT OF MY NOSE"), but it's best not to just assume everyone is like that I'm nice really.

Anyhow, for the record, I started posting in this thread so as not to continue derailing the CM16 discussion once it became apparent it wasn't really a CM16 issue (having originally put it in the "ask questions here" bit of the editing forum, before seeing this dedicated support forum). I'm hardly "posting it in every thread", I was trying my best not to spam the forum demanding answers, I'm sorry if it went spectacularly wrong.

Short answer: Sort of.

Long answer: Um. All that's in there (documents/FIFA 16/0/FIFA 16/) are 2 files without extensions called CONTAINERS and CONTAINERS2, plus 2 subfolders called seemingly random strings of 8 letters & numbers, and in turn, all those contain is a file called DATA and a file called INDEX, with no extensions.

Deleting one of the two folders meant "Personal Settings 1" was also deleted, and the game wouldn't progress beyond the team selection screen in Kick Off. Deleting the other one did... nothing, as far as I can tell? Neither fixed the weirdness, at any rate. I've put them both back for the moment.

To add even further weirdness, it seems that deleting the squads in game (as per the CM thread) might have fixed the problem for any new teams I add now, because I no longer get the "Squads1 is damaged..." prompt, and those new-new teams are seemingly fine. But I apparently still can't fix the problems with the ones I added last time - even with editing, or replacing with identically-named new players, unless I actually change their surnames to something else, they remain completely nameless in the game. (Thailand has something like eight of them in the starting XI, which means the introductory team sheet looks quite amusing.) Lots of other players have blank shirt names but are otherwise fine.
