Squads Crash (Please Help!)

Hi There!

I hope that somebody can help me, I have a problem with Fifa 2005.

The problem is that after I have changed a few teams squads, the game crashes, not only this is that the compter freezes!

The crash occurs, specifically when you try to change another formation. It is really frustrating.

I have reinstalled it twice and edited the squads every time and it crashes.

Here is a summary of my computer attributes:

AMD Athlon XP 2600+
2.13 GHz
512 Mb RAM

This problem is really annoying me, and when the game is not stable it means there is no point in playing.

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

Yowsers. I will post some ideas to see if we can figure it out.

Is this a retail version of the game? Are you using the CD in the drive or using a cd-mouting utility like Daemon tools?

What exactly are you doing? You load the game, go into the squads and start modifying them?

Sorry about the delay, have been away for a few days!

I can confirm that it is the retail version, I am not using any other tools with it. I edit the squads, for example for Everton, I take Kevin Campbell out and put McFadden in.

I do this for a few teams, about 20-30 usualy. At some point, I want to change a team, so I change a formation by clicking on the arrows at the top. the game then crashes to desktop with no message.

I reload the game and when I try and do any other changes, I crashes also. I delete the 'Squads' file and it ok, just all my changes are lost.
