Nice to see a strong Spurs again.Man they are looking a bit tasty.Should be an interesting season thats for sure.I can see Spurs ending up as the 2nd strongest and 2nd most successful team in London this year,if not the EPL.They certainly look stronger on paper than Arsenal .Boy am i looking forward to that Derby game,Spurs V the Arse....whooooo........ :)
They have been in Arsenals shadow for too long now ,and i think the situation is about to get turned around............

They'll now have VDM, Mido and Davids, all 3 players who were wasted and not given shot on previous Italian clubs.
Davids was wasted at Juve? I hope you're right about Van der Meyde.

I don't have a team in the EPL but I will for sure be picking up a Spurs jersey with Davids on the back. :d

Given the dire state of Manchester United's midfield all thanks to Ferguson (and the fact that he is too scared to buy anyone incase they are better than his boy Keane), we could've done with Davids for a couple of years. I wouldn't be fooled by his age.

Davids has alot to offer. He's made an impact of some sort wherever he's played. His Ajax days were the best. And he did quite well with his short spell at Barcelona. Tottenham will be strengthened. I think Kanoute should leave, I feel he has more to offer at another club. West Brom maybe. I know Tottenham is a bigger club them West Bromwich Albion but I feel WBA style would suit Kanoute alot more. He was actually rumoured to go there at one stage.

Spurs are going to be a big force for sure this season. They should score a ton of goals too with the people they have up front. Keane is going to start for sure this season, but his partner is a bit harder to decide.

In the end though, I would be amazed if it was not Keane+ Mido the first game of the season, he has started most of the games so far, and has scored 4 goals +5 assists in the 4 games they have played.

Chelsea are Champions and not Mediocre.

and

"Yids" or "Yiddos" began to be used in the 1980s, was mainly by rival Arsenal fans because of the large Jewish population in the Haringey/Stamford Hill area.

The Spurs fans made the nickname a badge of honour by calling themselves the "Yids" or "Yiddos". Having had this thrown at Spurs as a derogatory term, the supporters of the club adopted it as an unofficial nickname and also so that it would not have the same effect if other clubs shouted it in an anti-Semitic manner.

Therefore, Spurs fans chant "Yids" and "Yid Army !" to deflect the racist attacks of other clubs.

Thus I am in the right, you are in the wrong.

I repeat.

I am right, you are wrong.

If Drogba scores 20 goals this season in all comps, then I am right all of the time and you said you would proclaim it.

Back on Davids, I'm actually hearing 2 different rumors. 1 that he is set to sign the contract today after passing his medical and another that the deal is about to be off after personal terms couldn't be agreed upon. I know the official site said they signed him, but they still said that the medical had to be passed and medical terms had to be agreed, so it's not official yet. Hopefully though for all parties it is. I don't want Davids back.

Yeah it's good to see Spurs making some good signings... now that we finally have a good manager! Jol is beginning a Dutch revolution at Spurs. It's funny how people (mostly Serie A fans) call the EPL boring then complain when good exciting players (like Davids and van der Meyde) leave for the EPL... why? Because they were languishing in the boring Serie A!

The EPL has had far more exciting football and competition than Serie A could ever dream of. Maybe things are improving since teams like Bologna and Udinese are getting competitive instead of the same old 4 or 5 teams at the top? And while Chelsea looks even better than last year, everyone else (except maybe Man U) is improving with new signings so it will be much tougher this year.

And Rob you're right about "Yids" (when used by Spurs fans) but comming from a snot face Chelsea fan in the context you put it comes off derogatory as you surely intended it to be. I actually have nothing against Chelsea but it sure doesn't take much (1 title in 50 years) for some of their fans to assume the annoying arrogance that normally comes from Man U & Arse fans. Just shows how fast money and quick success can goto your head.

There is nothing arrogant about insulting Tottenham, everyone does it.

(1 title in 50 years)

You club has only won 1 title in 50 years also and you are the most arrogant man I have ever seen.

LOL that's hilarious coming from a West Ham fan... we take your best players and give you our mediocre discards... that makes West Ham total s**t! :funny:

So if every Chelsea fan jumps off the Tower Bridge are you going to do that too? It might be a great service to the human race! Only idiots who rant on about North/South London hatred or their anti-semitic tendencies do... there's plenty of cool Chelsea fans out there and they're not Johnny Bandwagon jumpers just out of the woodwork either.

LOL yeah I'm sooooo arrogant... what a lame reply. Unlike you I didn't go out of my way to be an a-hole as you did by entering this thread... that easily explains the majority of your 8,000 posts.
