Spot the Referee

Or not in the case of my copy of Fifa 2005. Played 2 friendlies now and havent seen the Ref or the Linesmen once. Only pop up in cutscenes. I thoughly only PES3 had this problem.

it's the graphic settings i believe, you need them on high to have them.

I try to change the detail level to high but no use.
I sovled the problem by creating a file named common.ini in the main directory and adding the following to the file:
FEATURE_INGAME_REFEREE_ENABLED=1
FEATURE_INGAME_LINESMEN_ENABLED=1

nice job solving the problem, hopefully other people that have this problem will see this thread.

You need to remove cfg_pc_l.ini and cfg_pc_m.ini from data/cmn folder !!

Then your settings will truely be high with linesmen referee and all other things!

I've got the PS2 version....no way of editing those settings

i do not have much brain activity when it comes to computers!

i have the same problem, no ref or linesmen!

i have tried removing the files like it says above but no joy!

im not sure how to create this file that the gentleman writes about!

any chance someone could give me a simple step by step?

Hello kaufman, don't worry you're not being a pain; I'll try to help you again with this issue (step by step).

1. Open Wordpad and type the following lines as they appear here:

FEATURE_INGAME_REFEREE_ENABLED=1
FEATURE_INGAME_LINESMEN_ENABLED=1

2. After doing this, save the file. Name it common.ini

3. Copy this file to Program Files/EA SPORTS/FIFA 2005

That's it basically. With this added, your game should now be fully working, complete with referee and linesmen!

No referee..just linesman....wats wrong?
