SPL Season 04/05

I know what you mean. I'm no Hearts fan but with Tynecastle's future in doubt and now the possibility of a dubious Lithuanian owner, things are in a state of disruption.

Somehow, I feel uneasy about folk from such foreign nations getting involved. Scottish footbal has been going through a phase of re-establishing it's Scottishness, mainly because of the lack of money. But it meant far more young Scottish players getting a game, which can only be good for Scottish football as a whole. There was a sense of a fresh new start and a sense of pureness and Scottishness about the SPL.

I hope this Lithuanian guy won't start splashing out on another bunch of mediocre foreign players or worse still, start signing up a bunch of Lithuanians.

Well, I've had a bit more time to think things over:

I suspect the guy as other agendas beyond the football club - but what chairman doesn't? Pieman has his pie emporium, Abramovich's oil empire etc.

If he's into property development than where better to be than Edinburgh (We have one of the most expensive property markets on the planet)? I hardly think it'll be in his best interests to come in close the club down then try to infiltrate the Edinburgh business scene. Especially (as the Flair down the road keep telling us) the Edinburgh council is run by Jambos.

We've currently got a board who couldn't run a bun fight in a bakery, despite very large cash injections into the club on a fairly regular basis they have been left with no alternative than to sell the club's only real asset. Now I can't think of anything that could worse than that, apart from complete closure - It's a different argument but only Robinson knows how close we are to that.

End of the day, if Romanov gets us out the mire and transforms us into a club challenging for honours then I'm all for it.

Ok it appears he has a shady track record in attempting to buy other clubs but David Murray tried to buy Ayr United and they knocked him back saying he didn't have the collateral - how they must regret that. This is an opportunity to try and salvage the wreckage years of mismanagement the board has created. If the guy has the dosh to get control of the club and pay off debts circa. £18m then this guy must be taken seriously.

Its a trait of the Hearts support to be suspicious of everything to do with the club but personally I think its time we stopped our small time thinking and tried something different - its clear no one in Edinburgh has the cash or is willing to invest so lets give Romanov a go. As I say; What's the worst that can happen - we go bust? - Hey, it's a chance I'll take!

what the fúck is robbo mumbling on about the fúckin midget. i read in the paper, aberdeen will finnish 3rd. so i was like (H) nice one robbo (H) then im readin it and hes sayin we'll finnish 3rd cause of the unfair advantage of playing more home games than everyone else :| shut up. just cause we play caley at pittodrie twice? i think its pretty obviose we'd beat inverness at pittodrie, the caley staduim or even in russia, and so should hearts in my opinion. playing at pittodrie 2 more times than everyone else isnt exactly that great an advantage over the season, especially when its only inverness!

anyone after a quality central defender?? got a bit of news from pittodrie

MCGUIRE AXED

 cant help but think this is a big mistake! mcguire has been great for aberdeen (apart from last season!) ide much rather he stayed but i suppose its all about finances, i wonder what his wage is (:/)

the lad must be gutted :( hes got all his family moved up here and has become an aberdeen supporter too :(

same old jambos always cheatin.

our crap record against them is gettin pretty annoyin but what is more annoyin is how they beat us. pen sounded very soft then we had a perfectly good goal chopped off, how can it be offside if the last player to touch it was a jambo? anyway i couldnt give a rafael cos footballs importance has taken a back seat for me today

pish day.

Same old sheep shaggers always moanin. :D

And stop stealing Davie Bowmans quotes!

P.S. Now that bahhhhhhhberdeen have turned pish again ....well pisher than usual...will you be removing your sig and putting in one about something completely unrelated to the team you support to hide yer shame?...that's what you usually do.

One Dennis Wyness!!!:rockman: :rockman: :hump: (H) :mrpimp:

watched scotsport last night, what a load of shíte... why was the camera about 4 miles away? im gettin tempted to get setanta next year!! on seconds thoughts.... anyway, imagine a world where andy walker was dead :sun:

havin seen the highlights im not much happier about the decisions. our goal for a start, fair enough we have about 4 players offside when hart puts in his cross/shot...but that has nothing to do with anything. Craig Gordon gets a touch onto the shot to knock it onto the post... meaning its a new phase of play and craig is onside so... goal!? walker doesnt have a clue what hes talking about, and well he says hearts pen was the right decision... we all know what his opinion on divers is!!

by the way i would prefer if steven craigs goal wasnt given, because i think the old offside rule should comeback. but by the new offside rules the goal should of stood

diggin the old thread back up (H)

man... ace game yesterday (H) best ive been to in aaaaaaaages!!

does anyone else think this is the best SPL league season in years? i mean this time last year....actually fúck that.... by xmas time last season the title was won, 3rd place was done and dusted and there was never any doubt partick thistle would be relegated...BORING!! this time round everyone has something to play for! the top 2 are battling at the top as usual and i think theres only, what, 3 points between them with celtic havin a game in hand? 3rd place is wide open! currently held by the dons (H) but we're only 1 ahead of hibs and just 6 clear of hearts. while motherwell try to defend the last place in the top 6 against killie and caley... come on caley!! then any of the bottom 4 could go down and with falkirk sittin pretty at the top of the 1st division atleast we know one of them will go down!! :D please let it be united!

anyone got predictions for 1st, 3rd, 6th & 12th?? :fool: by the way whens the edinburgh derby? hibs are hilarious they are saying they deserved to win yesterday!
