Something wrong with the high pass?

Han

After playing some matches the same situation occurs some times:
I try to open the game by passing from the left side to the right side by a high pass (just O , for normal button-configurations). The ball sometimes goes a complete other direction, like a diagonal ball back :o
Is it just me, or did it happen to you guys too? I really doubt about my gamepad. Once it was really strange, trying to cross the ball, moving my analog-stick to one o'clock and the ball went eleven o'clock?? :o
You should know that I changed the button-configuration, changing [] and O for shooting and passing high.

Is it me or Konami? ;)

yea.. the bug was present in WE6 or FE, I don't remember exactly.
I don't use O that much, so it's not a problem for me.

In PES3 I have this problem with old version but when I got the wolf's patch it was fixed, i think its down to the new version of the pes3.exe

Good point. I will try this out in the training-mode...

A good point?

I've been having this problem in PES3 all the time. You're on the left, somewhere around the middle line, player somewhat to the inside (but not totally) and try to bring the ball up front, but instead he is passing it back to the goalie, occassioally creating some pretty heavy calamity...

even if the wrong foot were to blame on it, and it were not a bug, the effect would be more than exaggerated...

I told in the other topic "Figuring out passing and shooting in WE8 " what other points are also important. You did read it... :)

yes i did ;)

it's still a bug IMO, and not something that Seabass put in on purpose... no such thing in PES1 or PES2... at least not that i remember

and if they put it in on purpose, they did a bad job... or not?

that was my point :crazyboy:

You always make me think hard ;)
Even if they put it in on purpose, you should ask if they put realism in it, by making you miskick with a technical weak player.

Your turn :)

i think it's a bug. plain and simple.

my argument was: if it should *not* be a bug (as dexter claimed -- and you too, if i understand correctly), then they did not do a great job, because IMO that shot abberation is just way too exaggerated...

and since i don't think Seabass would put in such an exaggerated feature without a reason, i do think it is not done on purpose -- which supports the idea that it might be nothing than a bug...

got it? :crazyboy:

Oh yeah, I got it... got it already before.
I just say you COULD program it on purpose, although I agree it looks drastic. But what is drastic? The way they changed from dribbling style (compared with WE7IJ ) is equally drastic...
You can see it either way, although I agree with you it is too exaggerated.
