Excuse me, but calling Americans "dumb ****s" because this one guy and his MLS posts is quite out of hand. This actually shows me again why Americans have no respect for Canadians. Self righteous and arrogant you certainly are. But it must suck to live in a country who doesn't even have a professional soccer league, and a country who invented hockey yet has to sit back and watch while the USA dominates your invented sport.

Ouch, that was rough. Even though I'm an American (and telling us to eat McDonalds, that's just a sad attempt at an insult), I still you think might have been just a little rough. First of all, saying Ameicans have no respect for Canada, now you're the one being arrogant. And also, do you think Canada enjoys that fact that we have more money to waste away on hockey teams? Ottawa's team goes bankrupt while the Rangers have a higher payroll then my entire county combined. Don't forget, the same thing happened to America; we no longer dominate baseball. Latin American is providing the best players these days.

By the way TzvQ, the Germans make a dive or two, but it doesn't even begin to compare to the dives taken by Italy, Brazil, and Argentina...

shut up about borussia...yeah yeah the attendance is so great there yada yada yada...i dont see any of the player wages being cut in the MLS due to "poor performance". granted the wages in the MLs are way lower but it is a fully professional league that hasnt been around that long and competes with three other sports. and also to change sides a little bit, the bundesliga has not been boring at all this year. now that bayern isnt in total control the league has been more exciting

Sorry, but if someone is going to call Americans "dumb ****s" then they should be prepared for what comes back to them. And I don't think the little stars meant "asse." And if canada wasn't a socialist state, they would have enough money to support their hockey teams. And about American dominating baseball. I am happy if anyone from around the world wants to play baseball. But keep in mind one thing.. Where is the one league they try to come to play baseball? Right, MLB. Until that changes, America dominates baseball. No matter how boring the game can be!

And you are right, Americans can be arrogant sometimes. Just as arrogant as the Candadians, Germans, French, Brazilians, Japanse, English, etc. etc. Every country has a certain arrogance to it. It's human nature to have pride in your country, but this is mistaken for arrogance too often. If a country does something the best, it is not arrogant, it is fact.

Either the US is producing pretty good teams or Hamburg is sucking it up.

Really doesn't say anything about the quality of the leagues. Everyone knows the Bundesliga is a far more established and stronger league than the MLS. But, the MLS is an emerging league with much potential and you can't really compare it to a Football programme that has been around for ages. It's all contrasts and no comparisons. Moreover, stop fighting guys! The Arrogant American Vs. The Nationalistic European argument is beginning to get a little bit old. Not just about Football but about everything...check Yahoo! fourms...any topic will end up in a European-American battle. Funny, but beginning to loose its humour.

Hamburg did well last year, but this year are doing terrible. I wonder what those results you posted represent though. They could have been youth teams that Hamburg sent over, or wherever they played. But like I said before, MLS has been doing well against Premier League teams lately. Anyone can win on any given day.

You're right I did get out of hand there, but I had every right to after that kid called me inbred euro trash. I don't see why you think it sucks to live in Canada just because we don't have a professional soccer league, I'd much rather live in Canada than move to the U.S. and have a "professional" soccer league that sucks and can't compete in the world.

I also don't see how the USA dominates out invented sport, it's actually the other way around, the last olympics both the men's and women's teams beat US in the finals. U.S. might dominate the NHL money wise, but it doesn't even compare to the talent Canada has.

Not a thing wrong with me, I think you're the one who needs to get his facts straight.

Wait a minute. I must have missed something. He called you inbred euro trash? Well, in that case, you can say whatever you want! Just don't lump all of us Americans in together. If you do that, you have trouble, and I think you did do this. So if not, I apologize.

On this point I have to give it to you about Canada beating the us. But the womens thing.. I mean come on.. The US womens soccer team beat Canada at the world cup last week.. So I guess we are even. But, when was the last time an NHL team from Canada won the Stanley Cup? And the Canadians will have a really tough time with the Sweeds and the Chechs on the talent issue. I think the Chechs have some of the best players in the world. Either way, this should be for the NHL forum. : )

Anyway, hope things are sorted out now.
