1. has someone figured out a way to play ecc in the first year of the career mode?... does the career expansion patch do this?

2. I've noticed something odd... if i shoot using the dummy button pressed (and not release it, otherwise it does a dummy shot) the goal keeper becomes retarded and shots go in from far far out... anyone else see this?

1. ECC will become Champions League in version 0.11 and will feature preliminary summer stages too (July and August matches), original structure and will be availabe since the first year of career. Actually you can play ECC since first year with the help of Tournament Master by Rinaldo: change the competition ID to a number below 90 and it will be available since the first career year. Or just wait the CEP 0.11.

2. With wich gameplay are you playing? Did you modify something in the fifa 2006 files?

great man... first useful answer i've had over 3 fifas concerning this problem ... i will definitely download cep when its done though....

the answer to question two links in to the first: i have changed some files:
1, I've changed config.dat (i think it was for my gamepad to work)
2. I've changed user difficulty for worldclass... worsened the cpu goalie a bit and improved some other cpu features like marking and ball interception ability
3. I've changed config.dat (i think) for extra money for a win in manager mode... yeah couldn't be bothered to mange.. i wanna play a football game
4. I've used another patch to unlock the unlockables (basically i wanted all career teams)

so tell me... will cep reverse these i.e. which files does it affect... anyway i can retain these settings after installing cep?

sounds to me like you have just answered your own question

nope.... a. it is still better than professional cpu goalie... b. it saves shots from much closer without using this technique still

Yes, but if you want you can make a backup of your files and then re-use them. Be aware that with a different career.ini settings (different from CEP included one, in config.dat) the career wil not work.

This may be a dumb question, but I have only played 10 games in career with a Football League Two team so eh...

You can still progress into the ECC (Champ Lg) and EFA, and other tournies right? Meaning I can still take Orient on and win a domestic cup, qualify that way, or simply gain promotion through the English leagues onto the EPL and win it and get in the CL right?
