...made an eBook of a FM savegame. It was profiled on the soccergaming frontpage.

FM: One day at a time is an eBook written by freelance author, Richard Moss, based in Melbourne Australia. The premise is exceptionally simple, Richard writes as if he were fictional Football Manager, Juan Day, a 40 year old, retired Amateur Footballer. Juan takes charge of Lincoln City (a former professional league team recently relegated to ‘non-league; status). Of course, this does not take place in real life, but instead, in the ‘all too realistic’ world of Sports Interactive’s management simulation, Football Manager 2012!

Setting himself a selection of strict rules, Richards alter-ego (Juan) must attempt to manage Lincoln City in as realistic a way as possible, with the kicker being that he may only play one Virtual Day per day, as opposed to skipping through weeks and months in a matter of hours. As a social experiment, it sounds fascinating, but as Richard writes, his experience of what has proven for many to be the ultimate ’simulation’ of football management starts to question just how ‘real life’ this game truly is.

Yeah I saw that. It's cute, but I could never do that. I'm thinking about getting "Football Manager Stole My Life", though.

I saw that he did 1 page for every day of the season, so he only went through 1 season. That is shit. Multiple years, and a long career would have been more interesting.

My opinion on paying for things might be superfluous, but I wouldn't pay to read someone pretend to be a manager with FM as his tool. Especially when he does such a horrible job at it. His 'in character' stuff directly addresses in-game issues and his little blurbs about the game are hardly illuminating.

Juventino should try something like this out, I'd illegaly download that.

I wouldn't pay for it either. Just looking at that one sample posted in here was enough to get me to roll my eyes out of my head and click the x after about 1.5 sentences.

What about a ''Death in Venice'' Football Manager adaptation?

Who in their right mind would think playing one day per day is a good idea for a novel? The game isn't ACTUALLY as detailed as real life, so what is to gain? I can only imagine that he believed it would be a good way to ensure he keeps things detailed and realistic, but it actually less to much less realism (and interest) in the writing.

I want to try scouting out the opposing team in an extremely detailed way. Like each of their players to see how they balance vs my team, and adjust my team so. And look at their past results, see what strengths/weaknesses they have. I'm too lazy for that though.
