Yeah, I remember that guy, real CM expert if I recall and damn sexy into the bargain, he just disappeared. Things were very different back then, IceBlu used to be nasty and ShiftyPowers used to be nice, how things change :S

Can't seem to recall, one was #1-something and the other was Run-something. Both are legends in my book though.

Oh boy... do I feel old looking at that? it's even worse when I look at my reg date... anyways... I didn't post much back then... my english was below ufojeremy's level (and I know it ain't much better these days...)

I remember there was some kind of rivalry between FIFA 98 and FIFA 99 (I have more posts than you) posters, and all the talk was done in the fifa forum, even footie stuff not related to the game... I got here while waiting for a guy whose last name was Davies to release an EPL patch for some FIFA game... It got a bit delayed and everyone was abusing the guy (but it was some great patch)... I wonder if he's still around...

yup, good times. The first time I posted on SG was around fifa2000 I think, I remember asking Joe how to add Egypt's kit to the game.




I never did find out how to do it...

That's just because Joe was a beauracrat. He just followed orders and was a "good soldier", so he got admin status, in fact he hasn't posted in over a year now and he's still technically an admin, and if anyone ever deleted him from admin status he could complain to Matt Holme directly and be reinstated. Did you know he actually got paid for his B.S. work in the early years?!!? That's just reDICulous. Yeah, but asking Joe any technical question would be like asking a wall a technical question, you probably aren't gonna get a good answer, and I say that as someone who still talks to him on AIM. Hell, he lives less than 2 miles away from me now.

that would be Chris Davies

author of Fifa 99's ESP (english super patch) and Fifa 2000's PoTD (Patch of the day) which added the lower english leagues to the relevant games


a die hard Sheffield United fan if I rmember correctly


good guy too, was in contact with him for a short while a couple of years back


now I am going to make myself feel old, the members i remember being among the most active when I first joined were kohler, stevie_b (never returned fully after getting an internet ban at work)

Shame ot have lost a couple of great members :(

SG was corrupt as hell back then, Matt even got money from EA to promote FIFA and then the whole Soccered vs SG, good times.

Either way, class of 2001 rules.
