í´ve lived in the US for 3 years and meet at lot of people, and ill say 90% of them thought of themselves like the best thing in the world. pretty pathetic to me :)

Most people in England dislike basketball, well i have a friend who recently went to america on holiday, now he loves basketball, before that he never touch a basketball apart from in PE lessons. He also brought a NBA street Vol 2.

So I think people who hate basketball because of lack of information or they rubbish at it. Maybe the same for that guy.

Penalty kicks. You are determining a winner by a random event that has no relevance to the rest of the game. It would be as stupid as replacing extra innings with batting practice.

Soccer hilites concentrate on what almost happens. When ESPN has the poor sense to show soccer hilites, they show missed shots, missed passes, etc. Any real sport shows things that actually contribute to the result. Soccer participants do not care about the result.

-I kinda agree too. I always wonder what's the use when people say a certain player is good because he "is everywhere" or "tormented the defence". If he doesn't contribute anything to add to the score, then isn't that effort considered wasted?

Soccer participants act like they've been shot - what pussies. Meanwhile, real athletes like Donovan McNabb or Bobby Baun play on broken legs.

- True. I never roll over and grimace hard whenever I trip. Many players makes a tap on the toe look like a train accident.

i agree with your first and last point, but theres more contribution to the goals then the actual shot. i hate it when i run at the defense, hold the ball up at the front, and make all the right passes, so that someone else can score, and have everyone think the scorer is all the ****, whereas im pathetic because i dont score as much as him.
