give it a try my friend, coz i can't wait for that game when it comes out

I suggest you do too. If you're not happy with FIFA than give PES4 a go. You can edit players in that and the gameplay plays more like real football. That's not saying that FIFA is crap just because PES is more realistic in terms of gameplay. I love FIFA as well. In fact I love both games so I'll be getting both.

Hey Andrew .. fantastic review champ (Y) However I have a question for you or anyone else that might be able to answer. On page two of the review there is a link that shows us photos from the Career Mode. There we see a screenshot of Region 1. It contains all the English Leagues and the Scottish League. I have no idea what Region 2 contains but I have a screenshot of Region 3 and within that region the teams you can pick are Spanish Primera, Spanish Segunda, Italian Serie A, Italian Serie B and Portoguese SuperLiga.

Everyone says that as your career progresses you get offers from other clubs for you to go and manage. What if I started as a team in Region 3, would I get an offer from say Liverpool that's in Region 1 as time goes on ? Can you cross regions and manage teams. If not is it possible to create more then one manager under the same Career so you don't have to make 2 Careers, save them and toggle between them all the time ?

I hope that either Andrew or someone else will be able to answer my question for me because I lover FIFA and despite what some may say I feel it gets better and better every year, and from what I've heard, read about and from the Demo I am very impressed. Ohhh and also .. will it be possible to buy players from the teams under "Rest of the World" part. For example would I be able to buy someone from say Panathinaikos which is the Greek team I support. Thanks for your help !!

I only played the game for 3-4 hours so I can't be 100% sure on all the questions. But I'll do my best to answer your queries. I may be wrong though.

1- Can you at least edit the club information, such as the number and the position?

2- About the keepers. Can they get injured or get bookings or be the kick takers?

1. You can change a player's club. Their number changes but I'm not sure whether it's automatic or manual. You can always move a player into a different position in your formation but you can't edit their preferred positiong.

2. Keepers can get injured during training. I'm not sure whether they can get injured during a match, but it doesn't happen much in real life either. I'm not sure whether they can be specified as kick takers, but again that doesn't happen much so I wouldn't be too concerned if it wasn't an option. I didn't see a goalkeeper being booked so I'm not sure about that. I only played it for 3 or 4 hours so I can't really say.

Hey Andrew... Did you happen to see anything about the Champions League whether in the career mode or a single tourney? Thanks.

I didn't get a chance to check it out but I can say that FIFA 2005 does not have the official Champions League licence.

hey andrew,

just one question. what if i want to play a season, cl, league et. al without going into the hassle of building a career. not possible?

You can definitely play a league season without going into career mode. You can play any tournament you want really without playing career mode.

Career mode is one player only I believe. You can play with more than one person in leagues and other tournaments.

I'm pretty sure once you choose a region you have to stick to it. I may be wrong though because all the other regions still run in the background. For example I noticed transfers happening in the French league when playing in the UK region. I'll find out a definite answer for you tomorrow.

Thanks alot champ. Also try find out for me if you can transfer someone from the "Rest of the World" section to your team. As I said I'm a die hard Panathinaikos supporter, I've love to have someone from that team play for me. Cheers!

No. Creating players and changing their clubs is about as much as you can do I think.

hey andrew,

"You can definitely play a league season without going into career mode. You can play any tournament you want really without playing career mode."

what i meant was that in previous fifa's you could play a season with a club, thats is, if i picked juve, i would have a season icnluding serie A, champions league, and coppa italia. They were all intertwined under one season, instead of playing them as separate tournaments...

this disappeared in fifa 2004, really dissapointed me.

I have a feeling this is also teh case with fifa 2005

I think it is Danny. In the tournament options I saw for example that the "Premier League" was seperate from the "National Cup" (or whatever name they gave to the FA Cup). I think the only way they are together is if you play Career mode.

Hey Andrew , i was just wondering if you could answer my question about the Champions league . In fifa 2004 , the qualifying for champions league was all wrong , and once u got there as well it was all messed up , for instance , i was chelsea and i was in the same group as man utd , Liverpool , and Arsenal . This was very unrealistic and i was wondering if EA have fixed up all the bugs in the Champions League .

Thankyou
