Well this is what I think of it, smoking doesn't bring any benefits to the human body(short term benefits don't count, since u can add drugs to the equation if that's the case) , its the long term damage that's most evident. With football players dying and collapsing mysteriously on the pitch recently, they should be more concerned to take proper care of their body.
People who smoke just for the sake of looking good should go and pay a visit to their local hospital and see what happens to the people(especially elder folks) who have history of smoking/heavy smoking. Its certainly not something u should be proud of.
A lot of people are smoking just because they want to jump on the bandwagon, but believe me, people who started smoking a long time ago(like me dad) have all probably stopped/or want to and plan to stop since they have realized the devastating effects, even so, the damage is already done.
My father died of a heart disease(sudden death) and he didn't have any other illness at the time(as matter of fact, he was completely healthy) or family history of heart disease. We only knew the fact that he was a heavy smoker in his youth, even if he stopped as he reached his mid-30s.
Just imagine if kids see pictures of these players that they idolize so much, what kind of effect it would have on them.
For those who are smoking, its still not too late.
